Donating YT 14K Club Member | I just got back from posting the signs and walking through our neighborhood. I feel so helpless. It's a busy neighborhood. I hope for the best but I don't know that I'll get him back. I was telling Kristy that in this town, people will steal your dogs. I'm sure it's the same as anywhere. I'm not giving up, though and will keep everyone updated.

| Don't give up hope. Last Thanksgiving I had my family come to Branson to stay in my condo for the holidays. One of my son in laws left the door open while we were shopping and he let my small Chihuahua Tequi out. We combed the area and drove golf carts all over looking for her. She is never outside. That night it stormed, big time and I just knew she was freezing. We put out signs, we called the radio stations, the vets, the animal hospitals, the police. Everything we could think of. She didn't have a collar on. The next day right before noon I got a call from a man who was the construction manager of some condos across a major big street that she crossed to get to the condos. They didn't see her in the unit and locked her up overnight. They found her the next morning when they unlocked the condo to work in it. It was pretty warm in there and dry. I was so happy to get her back. Offered him a reward, he said, no, I'd want my pet back. It was a miracle. So, keep the faith, and put out tons of fliers. That's what brought my Tequi home. Mini, my yorkie darts out, I'm trying to teach her "back" when I open any door, especially one that goes to the outside. |

| I'm so sorry! This has to be one of the worst things that can happen to a pet owner! One time my cat got out the front door that wasn't shut all the way and I freaked out. My husband and I searched and searched for like an hour. And then I went back to our apt to put in my contacts (I was so freaked I didn't even grab my glasses!) and there he was sitting in front of the door! And we lived on the 2nd floor so that was pretty amazing! So I pray that your little bundle will be waiting for you at your doorstep real soon!! |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Try to think positive. Most people will do the right thing and check the paper for ads. And I wouldn't worry about the reward unless he doesn't turn up right away. Good luck.

| I am sooo sorry to hear about Chester! I will keep him in my prayers. I think most people are honest and if they find a dog they will try and find the owners. Keep the fliers out there and keep checking the local shelters. Kids are a great source of information, especially if they think there's a reward. Good luck and I hope little Chester will be home soon! |
