| Home Again question My heart is breaking reading about Cookie still not being back, and it made me worry about Uni. I remembered I had not even updated my contact info on it since we moved last year. I registered online, and it says i have limited service, which was the one time fee of $17.50 I paid 2 years ago. It says I should upgrade to the new Home again service for $14.99/year. Is it worth it? and who has done this? Another question. Her chip is an Avid chip which is a 9 digit number. The Home again bar code ID# (which is what they have on file online) is a 8 digit and 2 letter number. Shouldn't they have the actual Avid chip # on file as well? As that's what comes up when she is scanned.

| You know I was wondering the same thing. I am just happy that my guys have a chip in. If a vet scans it at least I have a record of the matching number and I could prove that it is indeed my dog.How many vets actually call the home again number when someone brings in a yorkie to match up the number. That would only work if someone brings the dog in and say they found this dog. If they are passing it off as their own, you can guarantee every vet would be on the look out for someone bringing in a yorkie.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I got the Home Again when I got Roxy's tag. I liked the idea of having a toll free number on the tag that a person could call if she were lost out of town/state & wouldn't make a long distance call otherwise. If you are going to travel & leave dog with sitter, you can call them & let them know who to call first (your sitter or other person) . Then change the info back to normal when you return home. These lost yorkie stories just make my heart hurt so much!
