| A pitbull attacked Kingston Why do so many pitbull owners seem to be so unconcerned and obnoxious? Do they buy the meanest dog they can find to match their own personalities? OK I'll hear it from the pitbull owners. However, why have they acquired such a reputation if they're not dangerous? Please report the attack to the police, and I hope your baby is well. | hi guys, thank you again for defending me. sorry i'm posting late. i took kingston to the vet and we were hanging out at a friend's place. anyways, the vet couldn't find anything wrong with him. thank god! she asked me if he was limping, change in appetite, she felt his limbs, neck, and all checked out fine. there were no bite marks and he is acting like his usual playful self. right now he's playing with his big brother, kenji. i asked her about the bloodshot eyes and she just told me it's most likely due to stress when he was attacked. she told me to come back if it hasn't improved in a week. she also told me to keep an eye out on him and see if there are changes in his behavior. i wish i knew where that lady lived, i would totally report her. i will go out tomorrow morning around the same time of the attack and see if she's walking her pitbull. then i'll follow her to see where she lives and get her address. she needs to pay for this!

| That's a really good idea! You'll probably be saving someone or a dog from her dog down the line. If she is unable to control her dog and allowing it to act that way it is a danger to the public and it needs to be with someone who can properly train it. Don't take Kingston with you! I'm so glad he's doing better. I don't know what I would have done in that situation! |

| Whew! This is great news. I'm so relieved to hear Kingston is fine. I would still report it to the police. From what you describe of the owner, I would not be surprised if it happens again to someone else.

| Glad to hear little Winston is OK.Anyone that read my rant an page 2 of this thread knows I don't like Pitbulls. When I was young I watched my friends poodle get ripped in half by two of these monsters. As far as I am concerned Pitbulls are God's biggest mistake.

| I always worry about this when I walk my dog, Now I will be even more watchfull. I agree, go file a police report and then when you get the lady's address or information, give an update to the police.

| I don't understand why people with aggressive dogs let them get close to other dogs - especially one so much smaller. It blows my mind. How would she have felt if her dog had hurt or killed your dog??? One day my son and I were walking our Westie, Ringo, at a trail and all of a sudden two german shephards were running toward us. Matthew reached down and picked up Ringo and then the two GSD's were circling around my son trying to get to Ringo. I was terrified. From far away - I saw two men running toward us yelling, they're friendly! Ha. They don't look all that friendly when they are circling around my young son trying to get to my Westie (who HATES big dogs). I was so mad. I just kept saying - PLEASE GET YOUR DOGS PLEASE GET YOUR DOGS. They had no control whatsoever. And we do have a leash law. It turned out I knew one of the men - and he is a nice guy - but his wife has convinced him . . no more running loose on a trail with the GSD. It scared me. Now that I'm walking two dogs (my little Yorkie puppy too); I want to get a can of pepper spray or something. Because if those two dogs had decided they wanted to get to my son or to Ringo - there was nothing I could have done. Part of it is my fault; I am scared of german shephards ever since I was a kid and my girlfriend got bit. So I panicked when they were circling around Matthew. |
