I don't understand why people with aggressive dogs let them get close to other dogs - especially one so much smaller. It blows my mind. How would she have felt if her dog had hurt or killed your dog???

One day my son and I were walking our Westie, Ringo, at a trail and all of a sudden two german shephards were running toward us. Matthew reached down and picked up Ringo and then the two GSD's were circling around my son trying to get to Ringo. I was terrified.

From far away - I saw two men running toward us yelling, they're friendly! Ha. They don't look all that friendly when they are circling around my young son trying to get to my Westie (who HATES big dogs).

I was so mad. I just kept saying - PLEASE GET YOUR DOGS PLEASE GET YOUR DOGS. They had no control whatsoever. And we do have a leash law. It turned out I knew one of the men - and he is a nice guy - but his wife has convinced him . . no more running loose on a trail with the GSD.

It scared me. Now that I'm walking two dogs (my little Yorkie puppy too); I want to get a can of pepper spray or something. Because if those two dogs had decided they wanted to get to my son or to Ringo - there was nothing I could have done.

Part of it is my fault; I am scared of german shephards ever since I was a kid and my girlfriend got bit. So I panicked when they were circling around Matthew.
