Good luck girl. I am checking this thread everyday to see what is going on with Cookie. That dog looks exactly like Cookie! Keep us informed you have the whole entire YT on edge. |
Believe it or not I just got an email reply from that rescue shelter. I am copying and pasting their response: We got this dog directly from a breeder who had him for 7 years. I'm sorry but wow so short and no " sorry about your dog" I replied and gave her more details and told her that Cookie was bought close to their area. I let them know that I'm Cookie's mom and I need to make sure that I did all I could to find him. Who knows, maybe this is Cookie's dad. Gen |
I was on earlier tonight and was really excited and praying and hoping that Cookie was found. I know I'm bummed out I just can't imagine how you are feeling right now, Gen. Keep your hopes up hun. Cindy |

Please go see him your self, and one could of dropped that dog off saying that he was theirs and gussed at the age. and the they could just be saying the neuter is included in price. ( maybe the person seen all your flyers and got scared afraid someone would see them with them) and took him there.even if hes been adopted share this picture of cookie with them tell them it is your dog, until you see it in person.then you will know. |

I am calling in the morning. I wish I could remember how long he was waiting to be adopted. I know the same picture is posted in this thread so I have to go back through some pages to find him. Gen |
Gen, for my 2 cents worth, I would pursue this futher. A shelter is not going to admit they did not scan what appears to be a full blooded yorkie. Also if someone snatched or hopefully just found him and kept him but heard the stories of you wanting him back, decided to take him to a shelter probally would say they were surrendering him to keep from having to answer alot of questions, heck the one in our area had one tied to the door with a crate and blanket and a note saying they were surrendering them after 8 years but didn't sign the note. When I inquired about him they stated he was an owner surrender. ????? I wouldn't have found out the other information if I hadn't been talking to them about foster care for him. I would inquire the breeders name and the adoptors information. I wouldn't let this guy go without seeing him, this could be your closure. If they don't want to comply with you, tell them to get on YT and see how many of us would be willing to come to Fl and stand behind you. They don't want to mess with Yorkie Lovers, we leave the sweetness and loveabilty to the little guys, us moms are the TIGERS!!!! Good Luck!!! I am totally addicted to this story, its like reading that great book you just can't put down until you reach the end. I read Daniel Steel and the outcome has allways been the way I would like for it to, This novel will be the same. |
Morning everyone, from England. 9am here and after seeing to Alfie (yorkie) and 2 german shepherds I have sat down with a cup of tea to read the latest. I was hoping like everyone else on here that Cookie would have been found by now. Its no consolation to you but you know that everyone on here is thinking and praying for you. I have only been on here a few days and have only had my yorkie for 2 weeks but I am smitten with yorkies and everything about them and regard all yorkie lovers as my friends. Sadly there is really nothing I can do from here but my thoughts are with you all the time. Lorraine x |
I've been absent from YT for a while and am only just seeing this thread.....I'm heartbroken for you hun :(I will pray for Cookie's safe and swift return. My thoughts and prayers are with you all xxx |
Gen, I've been reading this thread from the beginning, although I haven't posted much. I keep you and Cookie in my thoughts/prayers every day. I had a thought about that pic that was posted last night, the one with the Cookie face but lighter body. When I first saw the pic, my thought was that the body is too light...then I remembered the time I cut Ginger's hair short and was shocked by how light it became (since then it's remained a light silver). Have you always kept Cookie long? It's amazing how different in color their coats can look when trimmed shorter, and I noticed that dog had shorter hair. Just something I had to add. |
Just want to say I am following this thread and thinking of you and Cookie and hope and pray he will be found soon. |
Gen, Just go check it out! You never know my Pictures don't always look like my dogs sometimes so.......... you have to see in person and if anything a peace of mind! Good Luck~Joyce |

That light haired Yorkie also has very wavy hair and Cookie has thin fine silky hair. The ears on Cookie were shaved pretty down and that dog has a lot of hair on his ears. The one I'm concerned with is the one that is in South Florida that was surrendered by a breeder after having him for 7yrs. I will let you guys know if I get to speak with someone from the rescue shelter. Today is Saturday so I dont know if I will be ableto speak with anyone. Gen P.S. I have to edit my profile info! It says my birthday is today! My birthday is the 16th lol.I dont know what I was thinking Just something I had to add.[/QUOTE] |
