| ![]() I started tearing up reading your last couple posts. I do hope you find Cookie and SOON! Just for a bit of encouragement.... When I was little (about 7), our indoor cat snuck outside one night and was attacked by our very large dog. My mom didn't realize she had snuck outside but heard a commotion out there and ran out when she realized our cat was being killed. My mom had left the sliding glass door open hoping our cat would run back inside, but instead she ran over the fence and into the great beyond. My mom grabbed me up real fast as it was late and I was asleep and we went searching the streets. We found her and tried to get her to come to us, but she was wild eyed in fear and ran in the other direction. She had absolutely no claws at all. My mom and I searched for days. I had even drawn a picture of her and my mom said I carried it everywhere and went up to every police officer and asked if they had seen my kitty. My mom and I would see little things around the house and burst out crying. It was heart wrenching. 35 days later my mom is on the phone with my grandmother and was about to say good night and go to bed when she heard a faint meowing noise outside by the front door. My mom knew immediately before even looking outside that it was Squeaker (our cat). She hung up real quick and opened the door and sure enough Squeaker bolted in, jumped up on my mom and my mom said that my cat literally hugged her, which is odd because she never was a very affectionate cat. She came back with only a scab on her chin, a small cut across her nose, and pretty skinny. Somehow she survived 35 days with no claws and found her way home, all by herself.

| ![]() Awwww, your new little girl is so cute! It's nice to see that the newspaper is helping you now too. Hopefully this encourages other media sources to publish your story. The more publicity, the better.

| ![]() I've found Cookies story at tcpalm.com news site. Just typed in "Missing Yorkie" that was published on Nov. 25th . It has a beautiful large picture of Cookie. I keep checking back here every day. My thoughts and prayers go out to Cookie, Gen and family. Hoping for a Christmas miracle here. |

| ![]() Gen it's so good to see YOU getting better. I've been following your story from day 1 and just reading your posts it's easy to tell the healing process has begun. I know things will never be the same and Cookie can't be replaced but it's really really good to see you being positve. Keep your head up and your fingers crossed!

| ![]() Gen, I started reading this 2 days ago and every time I look at my Joey, I think of you and Cookie. I cry along with you when the leads don't work out. I Think we on YT need to email the Dr. Phil show and ask him to do a show on you and Cookie. I lost a siberian husky 4 years ago. (we returned home from vacation and her sister Kyra was running loose, the two Golden Retreivers were still in the backyard the gates were closed and latched, but the bungee we used as extra security was lying beside the fence. Meishka was no where to be found, but her collar was lying beside the driveway, which is long, uphill and goes through a wooded area. I still get on petfinder, and its been 4 years and 3 more dogs. I don't think it will ever end for me, I need closure. If someone has her I pray they are good to her, if she got killed I could say goodby, it's the unknown. I think alot of pet owners, especially the ones that have missing pets, would appreciate some advise on how to move on. Mabey Dr. Phil could help us out. Whats your thoughts. Also if you can describe Cookie as good as possible and give the chip information I will contact the vets in southwest Va and East Tn with your story. Who knows where he could be if he was snatched. My Joey and Cabella just had a littler of puppies and I have been trying to think of an idea to somehow use some of the monies to do something good and I think if you would like to make up some type of a reward I would like to donate to it. I'm sure some of the others would like to also. $1, $5 $10 from each of the readers of this YT thread could add up. And lets face it, if someone snatched him, I think the good allmighty dollar may get them to want to surrender Cookie. What about it YT readers, think we could make something like this work??? Of course this is all if Gen wouldn't mind and would be willing to apear on the show. Thoughts and prayers are with you, your husband, mom and Cookie through out the day. **Cookie is still with you in his thoughts to-look at what happened with you and your mom- he is still bringing you love****STAY STONG*** |

| ![]() I want to mention that I lost a little one, when she was about 3 1/2 months old, just a little over 4 weeks after I brought her home. She was taken from my back yard after being out with the others for just 10 minutes or so. Looked everywhere, placed ads in paper, contacted vets and animal shelters. Then, after she had been gone for almost 6 weeks, a groomer called me stating someone brought in a little yorkie girl very matted and said they had found her several weeks prior, but couldn't find where she belonged. The groomer remembered my ad in the paper and called me - when I arrived, my little Olivia recognized me and went nuts! The groomer called the people, they came and had to admit that she was really my dog. They had "found" her just outside the front of my home. Thank God for the angel in groomer's clothing!!!! I have hope that you're angel will help you find your baby too. God Bless. |

| ![]() I really enjoy these stories. I know that anything is possible. I would deffinately be willing to do a show. I am always a SUPER shy person. Always home. If we go out it's to the movies, dinner, parks and stuff like that. I feel awkward in parties etc... But for Cookie? I would do it. If I cant fly there maybe they can do a live recording from our home. I feel that by now if its true that someone has my baby, that these people might know that he is missing and people are searching for him. All I do is pray to God that these people give him to someone else and take him to a vet or take him to a shelter. If they are reading this PLEASE understand that there will be NO charges. That is not what I focus on. It has never been our focus. Too many people know about Cookie.I'd say 90% of the people already know about Cookie before I mention it. My daughter had a bad few days earlier last week and the beginning of this week. Some girl asked her if we found the dog yet. My daughter said "not yet" the girl just told her " well you know he's really probably dead by now, its just been too long" My first thought of course this is only a THOUGHT! I just pictured myself smacking that girl so hard. There are many many people that have told me and my husband " Well if he's not back by now, he's dead" I would not want to have him back just to prove them wrong. But just imagine their faces seeing me with Cookie again? I would deffinately tell them Never doubt a mom's determination. I dont know what to tell people that never got their pets back.I think its normal to still look through ads and lost & found just in case you find your pet. There will be a time for everyone to know " well its been 7 years or 10 yrs, my dog could not be alive at age 15 ... I know people that have a missing child and its been 20 yrs later. They still stop and stare when they see a child that resembles their child. I got a call yesterday from a vet clinic. I have to admit that my heart skipped a beat. Why else would they call ? Well it was to see if I had found him yet to see if they should keep his flier up still. I told them that I have all the vet clinic numbers and the day he is found , I will call the next day to all shelters, vets etc.. I told them until then to PLEASE leave that flier there. If more weeks pass. I will write a letter and print out 40+ copies and mail them out to all the clinics again. Letting them know not to Forget Cookie. Gen |

| ![]() Gen, just wanted to let you know I emailed the Dr. Phil Show, yea!!! I begged!!! I put the link to this thread and hope they will read it. I hope this touches the fur around the animal lovers heart and they get on the find Cookie wagon. I would just love for him to find his way back home to you. Well until I can think of something else this is all for now. At least this makes me feel like I could do something instead of just thinking I wish I could do something to help even though I'm in Southwest VA. Sharon |

Awww , thank you!! I'm sure if they decided to a show like this that the audience would be full of pet owners who have had a missing pet or pet that has passed and are trying to cope. There has to be a place for people that are coping with missing pets. I had a woman tell me that at least I still have hope that he could be out there coming back to me. Her pet died of cancer a few months ago.I didnt for one second tell her anything that could hurt her feelings. But there is closure when your pet dies. Yes you will cry and mourn and never forget them. But you "KNOW" where they are. I don't. I dont wish for a second that Cookie has passed. But I have this tug of war that I just want to know ASAP either way. I hope that Dr.Phil has lots of pet lovers in his staff that will bring this up to him. Thank you for doing that. Gen | |

| ![]() Like many here, I have been following this story daily. It breaks my heart that Cookie has not been found yet. I'm still hoping and praying for all of you. The one amazing thing that has come from all of this is the genuine outpouring of love and concern from strangers. What is more amazing is that it took a beautiful creature of God to bring all together!!!! Congrats on your new little girl. What a beautiful heart you have. And all Yorkie Talk Members, I admire and applaud you! What wonderful people you all are!
