I saw your new posters up on the corner of SLW Blvd and California. Very vibrant and very visable. My thoughts are still with you and for a hurried return of your baby. |

Everytime I see them even though its sad I smile because I know people are clearly seeing it. I wont lie it stings a bit when I have to drive around and stop somewhere and the poster is like 8-10 ft away from me and I have to look in that direction to turn. But I rather see them up instead of noticing that someone took them down. So far all the places have them on the street lightpoles and even a several stop signs. Gen I cant call animal control and tell them that a lady that is selling a yorkie is lying to me ??? I got someone else to call and was very ,very helpful so far. She spoke to the girl and gave her a sob story and the girl told her to come see it. My friend asked more questions and the dog is NOT neutered.Cookie is neutered. The girl actually called her back while she was on the phone with me.And yes she knew what neutered meant. I know a lot of people have no clue what it actually means. What ever the reason for her lies , I dont know I have also showed the pictures to several people, Breeders and Yorkie expert that have many many years of Yorkie experience and both have said they do not look the same. Even if they are the same size. I will update you guys if the lady gets to to see it. .If the girl lowers her price then my friend will get it and find it a home that will just reimburse her the price she paid.I will be called to see it and confirm either way. Her main concern is that if she could help get that yorkie out of there and find it a loving forever home she will do it. I will let you know. Gen |
in my thoughts... you poor thing, I will pray for you and your baby's safe return, I cannot imagine what you are going through...please keep us updated. |
Just popping in to see the latest news. My prayers continue for Cookie's safe return. |
Gen, I am so sorry, I was hoping for good news. That video is an awesome Idea and it made me cry, someone out there has got to have a heart, and know something. I just want to believe that Cookie will return. I keep praying for you, I just can't imagine how heart sick you must be. |
My leads today I copy and pasted what I emailed someone ,its just too long! I got 2 calls and one of the addresses just gave me goosebumps after I got home I realize that the avenue name is CULEBRA that is spanish for Snake. Some of you might remember the dream about the 2 headed snake? . The Culebra address: I knocked and a Jamaican lady opened the door. I told her that a neighbor called me to tell me this house found a Yorkie. She had a confused look on her face. There were no dogs there when I knocked. I heard no barks. She was a very nice well spoken woman with her son there .I told her that someone said a Yorkie ran out of her house and they saw a young man go get it and bring it in. Then she has this look like she remembers. She smiles at me and tells me “Oh! My daughter that lives in Orlando has a Yorkie and she was here a few weeks ago, he ran out and my son chased him and got him back in the house. She said each time the door opened he wanted to run out. She said she is NOT a dog person or an animal person but when her daughter brought this Yorkie to meet her she fell in love And they are now looking for a female to breed him with. She told me “ ooh honey you are not thinking that you are getting this sweet little thing back?” I just told her that I understand that someone might have him and is keeping him and I may never get him back. But I gently touched her shoulder and asked her “if your son was missing for 7 weeks would You just give up and think “that’s it I’m never going to get him back, I will never see him again” She told me of course not. I told her that’s what Cookie means to me also. She then understood. I moved on to the second address that was given and it was a Mexican family. The dad answers, they do not speak English. So I hand him a spanish flyer that I just made and I told him that his neighbor called and mentioned that they Found a Yorkie and I was wondering if it was mine. I did not hear barking there either. And I put my ear against the door before I knocked and looked through the door since it was a glass door with blinds. I was hoping a little dog would run up to the door. He looked at me and said “ We found a dog? Sorry we don’t have any dogs” He told me that a neighbor across the street has a Yorkie but they have had it for a long time. He kept my flyer in Spanish. I told him that I am offering a large reward, if he sees anyone with one to give me a call. I drove through that street which is super long in a curve so I taped the Business cards with Cookie’s picture and its printed on both sides with all the info. The card says STILL MISSING. That way maybe a neighbor is willing to snitch like the calls I’ve gotten lol. Today was a lot of time of me on the phone asking questions, google map searches and driving around my neighborhood. Oh well. Maybe one day I will get that call and I just will have a hard time believing it! Gen |

I don't think Winston looks like Cookie...his ears are down. |
ori I think you're right all I saw was that little face but his ears do look down, so sorry I was really hoping. |
That's ok. No telling what some time on the road will do. I got an answer back already, not Cookie. They've had Winston since August. Poor little guy. |
I saw that picture already. He is way too big and his nose much longer and bigger. Thanks though, Gen Quote:

Oh cookie I think about you everyday! Please come home soon! Still praying for you and your family. |
Hi Gen My heart has been breaking for you and your family reading your story about Cookie. No words I can say that could ever ease your pain. I have 2 web sites based in Louisiana. I know it's a very long distance from where you are. But I posted the youtube videos on my sites. I have around 1100 members and they are from all over including Florida. I hope that some one out there might see it that knows where your baby is. |
Gen, we are all so frustrated and are all praying, wishing and hoping. Has somebody already mentioned this....but have you contacted vets in your area and or beyond. Most have email addresses I guess so it would just be a case of doing the one email. Could others help you with this? Its even something I could do from the UK but obviously would need to find out the vets. I suppose you have already done this anyway. Have you contacted local radio stations? Local tv news channels? Thinking of you Lorraine x |

The answers to your questions is yes. I am now trying to spread the word further than my county. I contacted every vet, clinic, emergency vet hospital, groomers, petstores, Doggy day cares, shelters, animal control, schools, supermarkets, posters on all main streets, intersections, newspaper, contacted several newstations and radio. Luck is part of the reason why the story is picked to be aired. Everyone here has helped so much and I wanted to thank you all again. I have done all I can do and more. Even though I said this is it and cant continue. I know I will always talk to people and hand them my card with Cookie's info on it. I will always check a lead out. But I can't spend anymore money that I don't even have. Things are TIGHT now. I do decorations and setups for sweet 16's , weddings and such and things have been completely shut down. People are doing their own decorating and its rare if I get a call every 6 months to do Hall setup. Anyway didn't mean to go on and on lol. The leads yesterday kept me VERY busy.Planning these things took the whole day yesterday and I still had dinner and laundry and cleaning to do...which I did it all yesterday  I still have to call back a person that called me yesterday because they told me this house had a yorkie and they seen it. But when I knocked yesterday the man said they had no dogs. I didnt hear a dog either so I have to watch this lead... Gen |
Gen I sent you an e mail about this already but just in case you didn't check it I mailed out your flyers today. Sorry to take so long, the e mail explains why though. Still keeping my hopes up for cookies safe return! If you need more fyers please please don't hesitate to ask, it's free for me! |
Checking in to say hi to you and Monica and the rest of the pack. Still hoping fir Cookie's return, maybe for valentine's day? :) |

Thank you so much and I will let you know when I get them Gen |
Just wanted to let you know that I'm still doing what I can from frozen Michigan. Brrrr! Check your email. Keep the faith. He'll turn up. Those of you that have microchipped babies check out this link. It's a new AKCCAR system for vets/shelters that is trying to establish a single database for chip data. Reesie is going to be spayed soon and chipped at the same time. I think they have a good register and also are taking the initiative. I also renewed Cookie's 15 day lost pet entry with them. Yesterday another call. A woman near us saw a yorkie running through neighbor's yards and this time this caller was following the dog and didnt leave it. This was close to 5 pm and I had just started to cook dinner. I wasnt excited or anything but then she tells me he was limping. Oh geeze she got my attention. I shut off the stove, grabbed my sweater and cell phone/purse. I drove there and I wanted to rush because it was only like 2 minutes away but the whole time there was a school bus and I was driving like 35 mph. I wanted to go through the grass honestly! I get there and see the woman in a mini van waiving me down. So I walk to the house and walked around to the yard. When we get there , we both gasped. There is a long canal that runs along all those homes. I mean LONG like 1 mile. I told her any dog that is just running back here has been lost a while and tries to keep away from people or traffic. She described him but he seemed too big. She knew it was a male because it hiked his leg to pee. It had short hair also. I walked along as many homes as I could and I had a clear view all the way along the canal but he was gone and probably went back to the front of a house. I was freezing and I look at myself and I'm in thin sweatpants a tshirt and light sweater....again in flip flops. Toes wet and frozen. Went back home finished dinner, hubby left for gym and I left again :) I found a young German Shepard running scared. No collar or tags running by the canal and out to the street. OMG I tried getting him, calling him. When I called him I could tell he heard me but he would NOT turn his face to me. I would call and the dog would look slightly to the side and down. It was very cold for a dog to be out. It reached freezing lastnight and this morning because my car windows were full of ice. I got another call earlier from a woman who found a female yorkie. It was a big Yorkie maybe 11 lbs. She said she saw it drinking from a small canal/ditch and she figured it was a neighbor's dog. But the next day the dog was still there! She knew it was too cold so she was able to get the yorkie. Took her home and she fed her. She said the yorkie ate like there was no tomorrow lol. The hair was dirty, dirty so she gave her a bath and took her for a vet checkup and to get scanned. No microchip :( The vet said that it looks like she's been out for many days. I posted this on craigslist but so far no one has posted that they lost a female Yorkie. Either more dogs are escaping or people are abandoning dogs :thumbdown in our area. Gen |
does this look like cookie Yorkie Male Brant, Michigan Pets & Animals: Dogs & Puppies: Yorkshire Terrier Ad 1182430 placed 2 hours ago by earthwalks45 (member since Sep 4, 2005) Please Log In or Register to contact member Your Email: Message: http://pics.hoobly.com/thumbs/GCDSF4WQSOE5QVBHRQ.jpg Dawson is a double registered Yorkie stud AKC / CKC. He is a proven stud thowing half females- half males. His puppies tend to be smaller. He weighs about 6 1/2 lbs. His parents were both 4 1/2 lbs. He is house broken and he barks to go outside. He is a very sweet, playful, happy little man. I am selling him because my tiny male is now old enough to use for breeding. I have had Dawson since he was 8 weeks old. He is now a year and a half old. He is UTD on his shots and wormings. He has a very easy to groom coat and he stands very well for bathing and blow drying. He is a very nice dog and I hate to have to pass him on. He will make someone a very wonderful stud or pet. He hasn't had much cage experience, but he doesn't mind being kenneled. He sleeps with me and my other dogs...he gets along very well with other dogs...There are a 3 year old and a 4 year old that live here, so he is good with children and adults. He has no fears or bad habits..He is a well rounded happy dog and I'm sure he would make the right people a fabulous pet. If you would like to meet Dawson, call (989) 643-7784 or e-mail me at Email Me Here I am asking $550.00 CASH only. Thank you for your interest. |
