| I've just recently seen a thread on this. If you pull down the search box and type in "birthday ideas" I think you'll find tons of them. My Sophie's 1st birthday is coming up too, on December 7th, so that's what I plan to do.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | We're going to be away from home but I've ordered this cookie: Dog Food n Dog Treats - Apparel Clothing Accessories for Toy Dogs Small Dog Maltese Yorkie Shih Tzu I haven't gotten it yet though so I don't know much about it. I just wanted it for the sentiment. So far I've been giving her the stuff I've gotten for her birthday as soon as it arrives. (I'm actually doing better with Christmas...go figure!) Anyway, I have one of the plush birthday toys that plays "Happy Birthday" and a birthday shirt. Primarily I've bought her clothes and a new fluffy bed. She's getting alot of toys in her stocking for Christmas. In fact, after Christmas I plan to "try" to enforce a No New Toys policy around here. I want to categorize her toys by season and holiday and then bring them out at the appropriate time so they seem new again to her. She has a few favorites that will remain out all the time but the others will rotate. Luckily, Taffy is extremely gentle with her toys especially considering how she destroys other things (primarily chewable things) around the house so I expect a long life for her toys. I'll be watching your thread for any other ideas I might want to copy for Taffy's first birthday on December 28 since it's so timely for us, too. Thanks. |

| Poochie Parties! For Hendrix's 4th Birthday I threw him an amazing birthday party! We invited 12 dogs and their mommys and had all the puppys in the living room to play together! (all dogs were around the same size) I bought "PUPcakes" from Three Dog Bakery and some other cute little treats. I also made little treat bags for each poochie guest consisting of a bone, some cookies, and a little squeaky toy. It was so much fun! All the dogs got along great and I could tell my little man LOVED all of the attention! Make sure you have lots of carpet cleaner on hand And leave a few bowls of water around so that there is plenty for all the dogs.... I also put away all of my furbabies toys and blankies so that there were no dog fights. All in all the party was such a success! All the mommies were so entertained just watching the pups playing together. I also put out cupcakes and other munchies for the adults. Pooch parties are so fun! You should totally throw one! You can also order party hats and really cute decorations on line! If you have any questions you can totally ask me..... I love planning furbaby parties!!! |
