Our vet said cheese is a good treat. Princess love's it. I love the hide the pill in cheese idea, I never had to give Princess pills, but I'll keep that in mind if I need to.

I use it only when she needs to take a pill. She does love it, though! Also, I use the cottaage cheese and boiled chicken breast when they get diarrhea. Snoodles hasn't had diarrhea yet, though. I used it for my Peke.

My vet recommends cheese...in fact he just says it is a good all around food in general.

My vet recommended cheese to help Maximus take his heartworm pill untherwise we have a problem..I give him a tsp of cottage cheese once in a while also as well as plain yogurt..my vet is VERY strict with "human" food so if he said cheese is okay I would believe him

I give Bridget cheese occasionally and when she gets her heartworm pill. She loves it and it hasn't had any adverse effects. I think in moderation it's okay.

wow !! I give Desi a teaspoon of cottage cheese everyday for breakfast. I hope thats not correct.

My yorkie dog book recommends a tiny bit of chesse as a treat and mine love it. I don't make it a habit, however.

Your little guy is lactse intolerant. If you want to give dairy products either buy Lactose-reduced or lactose free products. We use 100% lactose reduced milk. My friend who is severly lactose intolerant, uses the tabs that contain lactase but still cannot eat ice cream or yogurt..There are several products that you might try..

Gucci loves cheese. I used it as a treat.

So far she hasn't have any tummy problems cause of it.

i guess it was just her dog then.....:confsued: i was supprised when she said it gave them kidney problems, thats why i asked. thanks for all the replies!
