| Wow everyone is so nice. Thank you...thank you!! Little Wally has become my little light. He is just the cutest little booger. I will post some pictures when my daughter gets home from school . I can't do it!! I have enough trouble openong the battery compartment of the camera!!There are many great dogs in rescues. I rescued a beagle puppy when I was younger. She was the sweetest thing. No health issues. My Trixie is a rescue because no one wanted her because she doesn't meet the "standard". She meets my standards just fine.

I believe she was speaking from her own experience and there is nothing wrong with that. I'm sure some people have had this experience as well or simular. About the rude woman at the dollar store and others like her, they need to learn to respect other peoples choices. If someone prefers to get a a puppy from a breeder, then respect that. I understand the reason for rescues, and I applaud the work and contributions that people do for this service. It is needed, but not everyone that wants a dog needs to go that route, and for someone to look down on not choosing it is ignorant. Just the same not all need to purchase a new puppy from a breeder. It's about what personally works best for you. Since it's now so in vogue and politically correct to get a rescue to the dog rescuing extremist (like the dollar store woman) why not stretch rescuing further. Say like... the next time someone says they want to have a baby, be insistent that they adopt one of the many children that need a family, instead of bringing another child into the all ready over populated world. Look down on them for the choice to want to reproduce....hmmmm? NOT! The thought of people going around with this attitude is disgusting. To the OP....CONGRATULATIONS on you new addition! Certainly NOT!!! Think of it this way, for all you know you saved Wally from becoming a rescue. ALL babies need a good home.
