				   | I would love to help. I'm in NJ. Depending on the route Thumper is taking, I should be able to help. I can drive the NJ Turnpike or RT 70 or 80. Just let me know when and where and I'll be there to help.

				   | I'm in northern, IN, My husband and I are going to Columbus, OH on the 13th. If someone could get him too us we could take him into ohio with us on that day. I haven't decided yet if we're going by way of Indy or up to the toll road and across. I guess the illinios person could meet us in Indianapolis and we could take him over to columbus.

				   | I'll be a NE Fl helper for any doggie needing help in my area or south Ga. It's a great idea, I hate the thought of plane rides for these little ones. |

				   | Maybe we need a forum to post dogs that need rides and those of us who are traveling or willing to travel to give relay rides. I know there have been lots of posts regarding dogs in other parts of the country that a member would buy/adopt if they only weren't so far away. I think we could really help a lot of animals if we tried this.

				   | I believe the destination was MD. Correct????? My rescue used to belong to a board that had a a whole transport section. What is done is a person will list a beginning and ending destination. Then people sign up on the post for legs of the trip. the origianl poste will usually put these together about 1 month ahead of time up until the week before. The legs of the trip will be listed seperately so people can see which are filled and which are needed. This whole system works pretty good but I must warn you guys that it can get VERY hairy. First of all ...until you get to know who is reliable you never know who might and might not show up when and where they are supposed to. Have any of you thought of what you would do with a dog... and no one to hand him off to at an assigned destination. secondly.. there are actually different stste rules and laws regarding transporting animals. Sounds silly but it's true... even for rescue work. There is also a liability issue . Just some points that you all might want to consider
