I believe the destination was MD. Correct?????

My rescue used to belong to a board that had a a whole transport section. What is done is a person will list a beginning and ending destination. Then people sign up on the post for legs of the trip. the origianl poste will usually put these together about 1 month ahead of time up until the week before. The legs of the trip will be listed seperately so people can see which are filled and which are needed.

This whole system works pretty good but I must warn you guys that it can get VERY hairy. First of all ...until you get to know who is reliable you never know who might and might not show up when and where they are supposed to. Have any of you thought of what you would do with a dog... and no one to hand him off to at an assigned destination. secondly.. there are actually different stste rules and laws regarding transporting animals. Sounds silly but it's true... even for rescue work. There is also a liability issue .

Just some points that you all might want to consider
