Silly girl Last night, I was sitting on the couch and Tila was running around playing. She came and sat beside my feet and she moved away, came back sniffed what I thought may have been a piece of lint or something. It was a teeny, tiny thing. She picks it up, drops it and proceeds to roll around on it. I was like what are you doing, I look closer and it was a little, teeny piece of poo!! I grabbed some tissue and threw it away, why do they like rolling in stinky things? LOL!

LOL. Yes, they are a little gross sometimes. Gotta love 'em though. Such clowns. She likes to roll around on my nephews clothes too, I always ask him, "Do you stink, Ang?" lol. Little boys like to get dirty though, so there are so many smells for her to explore and roll around in. When my other nephew sleeps he'll leave his bottle and it will drip, so it smells later, like sour milk and yup, she likes rolling around in that too. Makes me wonder sometimes. I'll then have to clean her up, and wash my nephews blankets. lol. Last edited by Roxy 87; 10-26-2009 at 07:46 PM.

I think it is very interesting that as far removed as our babies are from their true ancestors, they still retain those natural instincts. I have been told that they rub in "stinky" things to make themselves smell bad to predators. Also heard that is why they rub themselves on every/anything after their bath. They by nature do not want to smell good/pleasant to a predator. How many generations removed are our babies from sleeping in the wild, but they still circle around before they will lay down? Research it and you will find that is from their natural instinct in the wild to mat the grasses down and remove any snakes, bugs, predators that may be in the grass. Funny how spoiled our babies are and yet they still retain so many natural instincts...???

Maddie 23, I had never heard that but it makes sense. My babies do all of that. I always wondered why they went in circles, picking at the blankets before they would lay down. And roll all over the couch, bed, wherever they get to first after a bath!
