I think it is very interesting that as far removed as our babies are from their true ancestors, they still retain those natural instincts. I have been told that they rub in "stinky" things to make themselves smell bad to predators. Also heard that is why they rub themselves on every/anything after their bath. They by nature do not want to smell good/pleasant to a predator. How many generations removed are our babies from sleeping in the wild, but they still circle around before they will lay down? Research it and you will find that is from their natural instinct in the wild to mat the grasses down and remove any snakes, bugs, predators that may be in the grass.
Funny how spoiled our babies are and yet they still retain so many natural instincts...??? |
