Imperez, I know what you are going through and I am sorry for your loss. Some people don't understand the bond between a person and their dog, it's like losing a family member. My sister-in-law and brother-in-law recently had to make the same decision for their Jack Russell Terrier, they had him for 11 or 12 years. They said they are grateful for the good memories he gave them. I hope you have lots of happy memories to keep.

| I am so sorry for your loss. It is always such a hard decision for us as parents to have to make. I had to make the same decision a few years ago with my cairn terrier Ginger at the age of 16. The decision in her eyes was easy. She was tired. She was ready to go to rainbow bridge. It was ME who was not ready and that made it so difficult It killed me to have to do it and it took me months to think about her without totAlly losing it. But now I have peace in knowing she is healthy and haPpy And waiting to see me again. Try to remember the good times and it will get easier every day

Thank you all for your support. I have many friends and the majoity of them do not have animals or treat them as such. I love my babies and they are my family and I hurt when they hurt and I feel their pain. It is really great to be a part of this forum where people all feel the same about their babies and instead of people laughing at saying it's just a dog I get support and compassion here THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!! It has been a hard day. I know in my heart I did the right thing but it is still very hard. I have lost others in the past and know there will be more but darn it, it just never gets easier. What is so scary is that the last two dogs that I had to PTS also had cancer. Differnt types but what is going on? Three dogs with cancer?

Once you start feeling better and can deal with it you might want to start reading about how we are over vaccinating our animals. I believe this is what is causing the cancers.

Check the food you feed them too. For both humans and pets, it is far less expensive to feed organic than the doctor bills and pain we go through because of "saving money."

I'm so sorry for your loss! Even though we know that they are only with us a short time, it doesn't make it easier does it? May you find comfort in the many happy memories you shared with your little one!
