It will be tough on you for the next days, weeks and maybe months to come. You will have the good days and the bad days but you will make it through all of them. Spend more time with your two babies, treat them to some new toys and spoil them rotten.
You have support here and we understand what its like to love and to lose these special babies.

My tip on dealing with diabetes is to control it or it will control you. He'll do just fine, it's a shock at first, but very controllable...I really do wish him well!!!

So sorry to hear of your loss of Winston. It is difficult for us to make this decision, but it is the last important and kind thing we can do for them...

Thanks for the insight. I did not even think about the possibility of creating new issues but I had one with separtation anxiety and I would hate to create that for these babies let alone to have to live through the guilt of leavibg them and hearing them cry.

Thank you for the encouragment. He asked to not to say anything to friends and family so I have nobody to talk about this with. I am trying to keeep up a strong front and support him but I too am a little nervous by this. So tahnks again for the support.

It's easy to see from the outside you did the right thing, it just must be very difficult to see when you are actually in that situation yourself.

I see this thread goes back quite a long time, but I just lost my heart dog 3 weeks ago and I am grieving so badly I am practically dysfunctional. It is helping me to read others here have experienced the same type of feeling when they lose one of their babies.
Wolf was only 7 years old and to young to die. Got sick and downhill for 2 weeks and gone. We did everything possible to save him...but I guess it was his time.I cannot cope at all I a hysterical crying most all the time. I have 5 other Yorkies but that does not help, he was my little baby boy....sigh
