| PROS: adorable affectionate playful those beautiful, expressive eyes SMART!!! CONS: potty training challenges (little bladder = LOTS of potty trips, too, lol) hogging the bed (She thinks 2/3 of the bed is hers!) taking a walk with her takes an unbelievable amount of time because everyone wants to us to stop so they can pet her! :-) |

| YT Addict | Everyone always asks us about potty training. Derby is 4 months old and aside from the last 2 days, which I attest to that fact that I haven't noticed him sitting by the door to go out (he was trained to bark or whine!), he's had an accident- yup right by the door! At least he waited patiently for someone to let him out LOL poor guy i thing potty training comes down the trainer, not the dog. I really believe that. |

| Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Welcome to YT! Always looking for more members to share their joy of the Yorkie breed. I don't know the pros and cons of the average Yorkie but I can tell you the pros and cons of my sweet Niyah. Pros, Occasionally likes to play Occasionally will bark to get my cats to play with her but other than that, she is not a barker like most. She won't even bark at the doorbell or at anything she hears or sees. Instead, she checks it out herself. She has no fear. She is a loving dog and will nudge my hand with her muzzle to get me to rub her behind the ears. She is real intellegent. She trusts me inexplicably. Even when I run into a small tangle while combing her, she will not bite me or show aggression. She doesn't like the fact I have to get it out but she fully trusts me. She stays on my lap all day and follows me around the house and goes with me for a walk to get the kids off the bus. She loves to walk. Next summer, we are taking her camping, hiking and fun along with our Samoyed. They are both going to love it. Right before she goes, I want to put her on flea and tick medincine so to keep them off her while in the woods hiking. Potty training is hard but with Niyah, she doesn't go inside very offen and when does, it is not sticky seeing that I feed her Nature's Variety Raw Food. Since she has been eating this for 3 months, she only has to poop once a day. It comes out hard so no sticking to her behind. As for peeing, I take her out several times aday and she does not pee in my house. Niyah is 2 yrs and weighs only 3 pounds so as many have said, she is quite portable. I can take her almost anywhere. Since she doesn't bark, I could sneak her into different places but I am a big chicken and aflways afraid of getting caught so I don't. But if I go to any drive throughs or Petsmart, I take her with me. Con's Don't have any. Hard to believe. Isn't it? To me, she is a total joy to have around and I can't imagine her not being here. Her previous owner sure did raise her right to be an excellent dog. She is one special dog to me.
