| Oh I certainly will. Thank you again for this info. I feel like there is now hope if needed. Can't wait until 5. I swear he thinks daily of things to drive me up the wall. It's like I get one thing going nicely then he throws something else at me. This time took the cake. Much too scary for both of us. |

He loves small dogs and I have been seriously thinking of getting a sister for Buddy. I was going to look for a retired breeder or re-homed female around his age and smaller tho, around 7-8lbs. He is full of energy and loves playing with other dogs as long as they don't jump on him. My problem is once this new pup is in my home I will not be able to give it up no matter what circumstances come up, hence my hesitiation. I become attached and therefore could never give it up. I have been threw so much with Buddy I really thought, finally, things are settling down, then this! I don't want to add stress into my live any more than I already have. He's a love and my best pal but he's different than any other dog I have ever had. I need more time to settle this thing now with him. Bringing in another dog and it not working will really put me over the edge I'm afraid. We'll see what happens with this Rescue Remedy.

We'll see when it arrives how he reacts to it. Hopefully it will make him a bit more calm. I never knew he felt this way, ever! I can't help but wonder what went threw his mind or want triggered it. It's so hard to understand that this happened to him. I should have stayed home today but I couldn't. I keep praying for 5. Hope he's sleeping. He's not afraid of anything, vacumm, thunder, blow dryer etc. Dosen't even phase him. I knew he dosen't like being alone but i don't like going to work, it is what it is. I'm home every night the exact same time. After 5yrs I wouldn't think such a thing would happen.

lol and leave it to me to get a Brat but he's also so darn smart. That's the problem. He understands too much for a dog! Yes, I always said he was a two year old that never got any older. I can't imagine life without him. He's put me threw the wringer for 5yrs but hey, what else do I have to do besides work. LOL He's my boy and I only want him to be happy and not make me nuts! Months go by and all is just fine then here we go again with something new. I could never give him up because I know no one else would put up with it. You gotta love him to understand I guess. This time was very bad. The thought of him giving himself a heart attack is just the last straw. Who would ever think this could happen?

I thought it got easier as they got older Oh heck, I'm in for it I think. We live in a quiet con-do on the second fl. Not much activity going on during the day unless utility worker's are there, they have been recently putting in fios but yesterday was Sun and none were around. No one ever complained about him barking in 5yrs. I do everything imaginable to keep that under control. However when I'm not home who no's. If neighbor's don't complain I can only assume he's been good. If I'm not on during the evening all is fine. I never log in when I'm home in the evening since I've been working all day on the computer, so to speak. If anything happens I will sure come on and tell you. I've been praying for him all afternoon. I can't wait to get out of here.

| Buddy was FINE when I got home last night. I was so very relieved. I have no idea how he could have gotten into such a state in only 2hrs last Sun but it was truly scary. Hopefully it was a one time deal. I never experienced anything like it in the past. I will use the Rescue Remedy when it arrives for a while and see if it calms him. He only whines when I leave, sometimes howls but stops when I knock on the door and say NO. Thank all of you for you suggestions and recommending the RR. I will let you know how it works. Hugs, |

| I was in our local petstore (UK - not sure if this helps) and they had a leaflet about DAP - Dog Appeasing Pheromone. Which you can buy here as a collar or as a room vapouriser.... not sure if this is what Bachs is, but maybe it's also a thought for you ![]() DAP The Dog Appeasing Pheromone calms stressed and anxious dogs Good luck Last edited by Tinksmum; 10-20-2009 at 01:03 PM. |

| I was glad to hear that Buddy was okay. Hopefully he won't have any more panic attacks. |
