| aggressive baby I posted for help awhile back. My 1y old(had since Dec) will not stop attacking my 4 yo. She draws blood and must be pried off him The screaming is terrible and my 3y old is joining in. I talked to atrainer who sais to preserve life quality for both, I must rehome 1 of them. Any thoughts, other interventions I could try. My heart is broken but she might need to move so she can'thurt him |

| If they are fighting that bad, I agree I think you need to rehome the one that is causing the trouble. Or you will always have to keep them separated. Cesar milan could probably tell you what you need to change, but without his help I don't think the problem will stop. |

| they are all neutered. She just started this behavior about a month ago, it is intensifying and he is terrified of her. I am so attached to each.. I don't think she'll stop...but I want to try. I cant imagine giving her away...but he can't live like this |

| I have read through your other posts to try to get a better idea of what is going on with your three. It sounds like the way that you are addressing her behavior is by putting her into a crate as punishment. You are then allowing the other 2 near the crate and you have found them on top of the crate. To me this does not sound like the appropriate way to address this behavior. What I do know is that when a dog wants to dominate they will try to get to the highest point (to of the crate). I am by no means a professional but it does sound like things are getting progressively worse. Maybe it really is time to rehome the aggressor of the pack.

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | I had the same problem with a female I had. It began suddenly after co-existing fine together for about 5 or 6 months; then BAM, sudden, seemingly unprovoked vicious attacks towards my younger female. I tried everything I could think of to no avail. For the other dogs safety and our sanity we ended up re-homing the one that was being agressive. It was VERY difficult to do, but definitely necessary. She is now very happy living as top dog in a one dog family.

| Very odd behavior...the fighting is usually if not always between male to male and female to female. Have you had her in for a vet check..I wonder if something is wrong. My girls do rule the roost but they don't go for blood.

| I agree, you can't use the crate as punishment and then allow that other furbabies to be on top, that is just making it worse. I really don't have any advise but I do with you the best, please keep us up to date. Oh wait, I do have something...lol My next door neighbor rescues pek's, they have 6 and one started being very aggressive towards the others. Her vet ended up putting her on medication, similar to doggie xanax as she was so stressed. The dosage doesn't drug her up or make her loopy, it just takes away the stress of being so dominant to the other furbabies. They all are one big happy family again. Don't know if this helps, but it worked for them. Best Wishes!

I agree, I was in the same boat. Things started out fine but became progressivly worse. I had a thread a while back titled "Caution, when adding a second puppy". I didn't know any better and got a second female near the same age of my 7 month old Sophie. My mistake. The aggression was getting so bad that I reluctantly had to re-home Hazel. Now she is a very happy dog and my yorkie Sophie is safer and happier, too. I know how extremely hard it can be but the right thing to do IMO is what's best for your yorkies. Please don't feel guilty about it. Sometimes it's necessary to re-home a pup to maintain a good quality of life for everyone involved. Good Luck. Jackie & Sophie | |
