| Help! Yorkie plays with poop!! Okay...I have had enough! She will be 7 months old in 2 weeks and I can't take it anymore. I have 2 yorkies. Frankie is 9 and has accidents in the house but he ALWAYS uses his pads. Sunny is our new baby. She is only 23 ounces at 7 months but is a holy terrier! She does not eat the stool. She just carries it ALL over the house as she plays with it. Please don't tell me she is not getting good nutrition. She is vet checked monthly and she is fed Eukanuba. I have also tried changing her diet by switching to Science Diet and Purina One Lamb/Rice. Nothing has worked. She gets a special treat playing in the cat box! Luckily I fixed that problem by putting the cat box where she cannot access it. I have heard I should use meat tenderizer, For-bid, or Deter but she is so very small and I do not want to hurt her. I brush her teeth everyday but it is getting bad around here.....my 15 year old daughter refers to her as "Miss Teeny Terd Taster" |

| My little Emma did the same thing, I bought some deter medicine (it had pepper, yeast, and some other ingredients in it) and gave her a 1/4 of the tablet everyday for a week. She was also tiny, only 1.5 lbs and she did fine. It only took one week and I haven't seen her touch a turd yet! lol I don't know about the nutrtion aspect with her poo playing. I would recommend you switch to a better brand though just in general. I love Innova and Solid Gold. Here is some information about the different foods and how there are many that are much healthier for your pup http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...ing-chart.html Good luck! | I am sorry I cannot offer you the answer to this, but I did want to say that someone will have faced this. It is upsetting when you try so hard & nothing seems to work for a while, Yorkies are like children, often they just go through a phase, then it stops. Two of my 3 Yorkies would eat Fox poop (YUK) Now I just have Teddy and he would if we let him near it, so we make sure he can't find any, not that we let the others, it would only occur if we missed a small bit & you could bet your life THEY KNEW WHERE TO FIND IT. Teddy also loves bird poop, so we have trained him to leave it. You wil find the answer ... Just hang on in there. The last comment is very good advise. I hope you find the answer soon.
