| Leaving the little guy for the first time! DH and I are leaving tomorrow and coming back Monday. I know its not for that long but I feel so bad leaving Gizmo! He's going to be at home (with the MIL) but everytime I think of us not being here and him wondering where we are I feel so sad Especially at bedtime! He sleeps with us every night! Plus the MIL works from around 1:30pm-11pm but that will only be for Friday, unless she gets OT this weekend. My little guy isn't going to know what to do! I feel like such a bad mommy!!!

| You will see, it will be fine. I think "WE" are more upset at leaving them than they are! Your baby will be so happy to see you when you get home. So save up your kisses for the little sweetie. It will be ok! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | He will be fine. I finally went on a vacation in June after 30 years of not going because I didn't want to leave my dog/dogs. I wasn't sure I could even do it until the day we left. I left them home with my 24 year old dtr who lives at home and my nephew came in while she was at work to feed them and check on them. They were fine, I had a much needed vacation and when I got home they were so excited to see me for 5 minutes and then it was back to normal. So go and have a great time.

| I Feel Your Pain! Hi There, We left our Bella for the first time this summer. We were gone for 2 weeks. She was 9 months old. We had a niece move in to our home and she was with Bella most of the day. Bella did fine. She ate well on the very first day which we had not planned on. We worried alot. But, we got home, she greeted us with the enthusiasm she always has when we leave, and after 10 minutes it was back to life as normal and she didn't act like we had even been gone. So, I learned that they are just fine if they have a caretaker that knows their routine and gives them lots of "hands on" affection. Bella definitely did not show ANY negative side effects from our absence. So enjoy your trip and be ready for a warm welcome when you return. |
