| I am sick of all this rain!! I'm sick to death of it and I want sunshine!!! There are earthworms everywhere!! It's so freakin' gross!! Gracie Ruth, our in home/car/life security system, was out on the back porch the other day and giving the worms the once over. Trying to decide if they warranted the Defcon level to be raised. Darn if one of those alien things didn't wiggle and raise up a little at her. Immediately the Defcon level went from 5 (the condition used to designate normal peacetime military readiness) to a 2 (increase in force readiness just below maximum readiness). She let loose with her shrill alert siren, ear drums of nearby civilians (aka: Yogi & Boo), were nearly punctured. Glass windows rattled and groaned and were in danger of shattering into a million pieces. All the smart civilians (Yogi & Boo) ran indoors. The dumb civilians (me ) ran to the scene to see what carnage had ensued. From the sounds I was sure, at the very least, that a savage pack of zombies had entered the backyard. And G was valiantly fighting them off until reinforcements could get there. There she stood toe to err....toe with the blood sucking alien, protecting hearth and home. Luck for that mean 'ol earthworm I snatched Gracie Ruth up and hauled her screaming bum back inside. She stood at the patio door for several minutes growling and yammering at them. Just daring them to cross the threshold. I appreciate her heroic efforts to keep us safe, but really just wish the earthworms would, you know, like, go back into the earth.

| I know! Its awful here too! And its the spiders mating season also (my worst fear) so when I step on one 100s of little teeny things come spilling out...blech! Spiders apparently enjoy rain as much as earthworms Poor Luna is just about to jump out of her skin for a walk, but we live in the country all gravel and mud which she hates stepping in. Rain rain go away

| You are so lucky to have a brave protectress like Grace Ruth. I'm sure you feel much safer knowing she's keeping her eye on those worms. I don't think it's ever gonna stop raining. I haven't seen many worms around my yard lately. I think they were all scared off weeks ago when all this rain started.

| I know how you feel! It's been raining here for a week now and it won't be sunny till this weekend. Over here it's FROGS, LIZARDS & SNAILS! I have 3 females who I call the warriors and am constantly running after them to get something out of their mouths! It's funny, my male couldn't care less.

I am also sick of the rain!!!, sick of the cold, and sick of the earth worm smell....I can not stand that smell when you walk out side and smells like worms/fish. Oh yeah and sick of coming in from taking Cooper to do his business with another pair of shoes covered in mud.

| Cute story. It has not been to rainy here in southeast Texas but we have been getting scattered shows on and off the last few days. It was actually dry here this summer and our little pond nearly dried up. I am just thankful that no hurricane hit here this year. I hope I never see another one. |

We have always lived on the west coast and EVERYTHING is so very different in the Mid West. Why do they call this the Mid West? That's really a dumb title, this is nothing even remotely close to the West, we are just Mid. Yep, I feel culture shock creeping.

| Oh my gosh... that was hilarious! I was giggling the whole time I read it. I hear ya though..... I am SO sick of this rain. Our long country driveway has SO many potholes and everything is mush out there. Tatum is filthy but it's pointless to give her a bath so I keep rinsing her belly off that drags in the wet grass and mud. Ugh! Oh and we have 5 Australian Shepherd puppies outside (now almost 8 weeks old) and you can't step foot out there without them getting you all muddy! But hey, our tank (pond) is finally full again!
