| ![]() i havn't used the collar because I thought it was mean to do that. I never had this problem until this new neighbor moved in. Most of the people around here have dogs, so they understand. When we are at home everything is fine I can correct him but when were gone for 10hours a day at work he is barking up a storm at anything that moves. I cant quit my job, im lucky to have one is this depression. I cant afford to move because its to hard to find a place that will let you have a dog. so I just need to fix the problem and fast to avoid the alternative. I almost didnt post because I knew people would think im a bad dog owner and blah blah... but im desperate for help!!!!!

since this is only going on when your not home i would try that birdhouse thing. this way you can turn it of when your are home so he can bark a little bit while playing or what not.

| ![]() Have you tried the collar that has a special calming effect? We are working with a trainer who suggests that we use that. also she explained that a dog who is frightened then barks gets a positive reaction from making the noise and that their are some techniques that can help. |
