♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | I'm chuffed as chips! I've always enjoyed the grooming side of things with these fur babies but never got to grips with the nails, especially after a bad experience when Tia was about 4 months old.I cut the quick probably like some of us do on our first time and it scared me so much I have been filing them down since. Anyway they grow so fast that filing isn't enough. I asked the vet about nail clipping and they want to charge £15 about 22 dollars! So I've got brave again and this time brought some kwik stop just in case. Tia had her bath , ears cleaned , eyes cleaned, teeth cleaned and then nails clipped. Guess what she sat beautifully as she always does and not a drop of blood in sight! Now I've got my confidence back ,I decided to cancel the mobile groomer because I want to do EVERYTHING myself .I gave her a trim today as well , I think I did ok.What do you guys think? | Tia is beautiful. Your brave! Me, not so much. I even bought the peticure and haven't even opened it. Bud's nails are so thick I can't cut them if I wanted to. What I do is when he sees a squirrel or bird outdoors I let him try to get away all the while he's scratching his nails on the cement or blacktop and it's keeping them trimmed nicely doing this. LOL If they had to be cut I would have to take him to the vet's and have him muzzled but so far this works nicely. I have to say also I love Tia's coloring. Blk and gold like Buddy's. So pretty. |

| It sounds like you and Tia had a nice little 'Spa' day together! Great job doing the nails yourself. I do on mine, but I hate doing it. You already know how much I love Tia. But, truly? I think she looks amazing after her spa, very beautiful!

Thanks bon bon , we really enjoyed it. I mean that I love the grooming and it makes it easier that she seems to enjoy it too, especially the hairdryer lol

Seriously, it means I'm really pleased with myself because I faced my fear of clipping her nails after I made one bleed the first time Shes only 15 months old so I'm hoping I'm going to get better as my confidence grows.

| I love the rich gold coloring. You did a great job. After taking Ginger to the groomer just to get her feet clipped and the ears tipped and nails cut, they didn't do what I wanted and they shaved all of hair completely off her ears and took down her whole body! So, i have been doing it myself too. Except for the nails. My vet provides nail cutting as a courtesy so I'm very glad that I don't have to do it. Donna and Ginger |

| Well done...Tia looks beautiful...you did a great job. I wish you lived a bit nearer, i would let you loose on Molly!! When you filed Tia's nails, did you use an ordinary file or one of those electric ones? I do all Mollys grooming apart from her nails. I wouldn't mind filing them but dont think im brave enough to cut them. |
