| how long??? How long do you leave their hair "up" in a topknot/ponytail? Sometimes Coral's will last awhile and i don't know if i need to take it out and let it "breathe." Thanks for your help!

| Sophie's and Ivan's get changed daily as part of the grooming process. They play and wrestle with each other so much that the topknot can get tangled near the band. So I change daily. Some days I let them go without a topknot. Give the hair a break!

| I take my kids top knot out each night before going to bed. I personally think their scalps need the break.

| I don't even put Jada's up if i'm not home to supervise. Her little brother Bogie takes it down almost as fast as I can put it up. His is not long enough yet..I keep telling him she's gonna pay him back when I can put his up!!LOL

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I redo their's a couple times a day, as they get then all messy from playing. For those that leave their's down some of the time, how do you keep it out of their faces. Cali and Roxie's topknot hair is so long it completely covers their faces if not pulled up. Do you cut their hair shorter on the topknot.

| My boys have short ponytails. I pull them out every night before bed and then put their hair back up in the morning. We also use tiny plush ponytail holders (from the baby section) for everyday use and save the grooming bands (sorta like the bands that go on braces) for special occasions. When I use the everday bands I have to redo their hair several times a day as the hair does escape while they play. The other bands grip a little tighter and stay in place better.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | To prevent breakage you should really remove the bands every night.

| I take Bella to get groomed evey 2 weeks. They put it up in a top knot, but the hair is folded and has this paper like stuff around it and then the bow. So the actual bands are not on her hair, it's around the paper. I leave it up for as long as it stays. Its not put in tight, and doesnt seem to bother her. Much easier than taking it out and putting it up everyday. It's easy for me to clean around her eyes and I still brush her everyday. Besides, when I do it I use the terry cloth type pony tail holders you use for babies, and they dont keep the hair out of her eyes for very long..lol and I end up redoing it several times a day. |
