no she doesn't sleep with me- she sleeps in a crate right next to my bed- tonight I am going to put it on my bed so if she starts to scratch i will hopefully feel her moving. I have a feeling i wont' be getting much sleep. I am so worried she is going to scratch it and make it bleed or make the infection worse. I don't know WHY i didn't think of an e collar... will be getting one tomorrow.

good luck tonight. i know your probably gonna wake up a bunch of times worrying about it. hopefully she'll just sleep thru the night and not bother with it. its hard to keep a dog from scratching its face when something is really bothering them. the only thing i've found to really work is the cone. as much as they hate it in the beginning they quickly forget.

lol thanks. I am going to set my alarm for around 3 so i can give her more benadryl- as long as i can keep the itching at bay- i think i might stand a chance tonight

Boy i wish i had one of those soft cones that someone linked to! Hopefully it will be better tomorrow- the vet said it might take about 48 hours until i notice it getting smaller- REALLY hoping it is better in the morning
