| Hoping I'm not Crazy! My Lillie had her last puppy shot today and her rabies shot. She was SUCH a trooper and does such at good job at the vet! But, when we got home she acted so lethargic and sleepy. I put her in her crate for a couple of hours, went to work and came home on my lunch like I do everyday. Lillie usually loves when I take her out (I usually wait a good 5 minutes before I take her out so she doesn't think that I'm even gone..) but today she just kinda wanted to stay in there. Didn't want to play, didn't want to move -- I was SO worried about her that I literally started tearing up! All of my buddies at work that have dogs said thats normal when they get their shots but poor little thing! As I got home to work today she is back to her old self again! Barking at the mirror and chewing up her toys and chasing me. I just realized how much this little pup has an influence on my life...I was so worried about her the rest of the day at work that I couldn't even focus! Hope I'm not nuts-o! Anyone else have issues with their puppies after shots?? |

| No your not crazy! I know how you feel...I was like that when Jaxson was getting all of his shots and stuff. Thats why I had them space some of them out. They attach themselves to you and won't let go, I tell ya! LOL |

| Poor Lillie! Naw, this is very normal, can happen to any dog,cat or puppy, kittens. Hope your vet warned you about this happening, ours usually does every time they give our pets vaccinations. |

| Couver is usually lethargic after all of his vaccinations. It is a normal reaction I would not worry too much... Just make sure this does not continue for another day.

| You're not crazy. You are a good mommy to your baby. I took off Monday because Jada is having her teeth cleaned.I want to be home so I can go get her as soon as she is done, and i'm so nervous about the anesthesia. So I guess if you are crazy we all are crazy..LOL

Its weird because when I leave work and right about the same time on the tollway I can NOT WAIT to get home to her. Its like "Lets go lets go lets go!" Then I have to go up the elevator and I pretty much RUN into the apt -- I usually sit there for 3-5 min then let her out of her kennel though, they say its supposed to help the pup learn to be OK when you're not there....but dang it its tough! | |
