My Lillie had her last puppy shot today and her rabies shot. She was SUCH a trooper and does such at good job at the vet! But, when we got home she acted so lethargic and sleepy. I put her in her crate for a couple of hours, went to work and came home on my lunch like I do everyday.
Lillie usually loves when I take her out (I usually wait a good 5 minutes before I take her out so she doesn't think that I'm even gone..) but today she just kinda wanted to stay in there. Didn't want to play, didn't want to move -- I was SO worried about her that I literally started tearing up! All of my buddies at work that have dogs said thats normal when they get their shots but poor little thing!
As I got home to work today she is back to her old self again! Barking at the mirror and chewing up her toys and chasing me.
I just realized how much this little pup has an influence on my life...I was so worried about her the rest of the day at work that I couldn't even focus!
Hope I'm not nuts-o! Anyone else have issues with their puppies after shots??
