| Congrats on your new baby.....how old is your puppy? Have you checked to see how many teeth he has? Maybe he does not have but a couple of teeth which could make it difficult for him to chew the kibble until the rest come in?

| Hi! At this age and weight, I probably wouldn't try to change his food just yet. But if you are feeding kibble, trying cracking it so that he doesn't have to cracke it himself to chew. It really shouldn't be a problem for him, but perhaps it is. Or you can wet the food a little to make it softer. Remember he is really tiny and doesn't have room to eat a lot at one time, do you leave food out available to him at all times? I free feed mine and would see Gracie Ruth and Yogi stopping by the dish several times a day to grab a bite or two. They'd eat their main meals in the morning and evening when Boo would eat, but they'd snack on little bites all throughout the day. I also would stop giving the Nutrical on a regular basis. It really is meant to be used in an urgent low blood sugar situation. The Nutrical can cause some to not want to eat. It seems to make their systems not feel hungry so they don't eat. Have he been to your vet for his puppy check up? You can always bring up your concern when you go in for his next round of shots.

| Congrats on your darling new baby! I also have a new baby here and I found that giving her a little nutrical seemed to spark her appetite. If she wasn't showing interest in her kibble, I'd give her a little of the Natural Balance Log Roll in the lamb formula. She, and my other dogs, love that stuff. I'd only give her that when she didn't show interest in her kibble. Another thing I did that worked was, I'd add just a little hot water to her kibble...then stir it with my finger and let her lick my finger...then I'd start giving her the kibble and she'd eat it. She likes to be hand fed...one kibble at a time. LOL She took a while to gain weight but in the last couple of weeks, she's gained 7 oz and feels like a little butterball now. Best wishes with your new baby! I'm so happy for you!

| Hello, I got my baby on 3rd September and she follows me around everywhere! i close the door when i go upstairs she sits behind it and waits for me to come back. She did used to sleep with me but i spent so much time worrying about what she was doing during the night (like if she couldn't get off the bed ect.) that i wasn't getting a great deal of sleep myself so she now sleeps in the kitchen. She has 2 different beds, blankets, all her toys and food and water. She barks once when i leave her then falls fast asleep! |

| Hello - Congrates on the new teeny tot! i think the nutrical is a double blessing but my vet and many others warned me about the sugar fix need i might be creating so unless she seemed very lethargic or wasn't eatign at all, i was conservative. At the beginning 2 weeks, i gave her a little teeny amount before bedtime. As she got a few weeks older i had good success w/sprinkling stinky cheese (parmesan in very small amounts on her kibble) or same samllll amounts of yogurt and for the beginning sat with her to get her started on her food. As much as it breaks my heart to see my baby cry I did not want a dog who would freak every time i left the room so i practiced walking away for stretches and just tuffed it out. Now she is happy, balanced at 7 mos and affectionate but not needy and doesn't always have to be in the immediate vicinity that i am. I remember the first time she went up the stairs by herself to get in her bed. It was like watching your kid go to first day of school. Ultimately I don't want that separation anxiety that i see so many other babies have.
