| Jessica Simpson's dog taken by a coyote! There may be another thread that has this info, but I didn't see one. It was reported yesterday that Jessica Simpson's dog was snatched by a coyote. And she or someone else saw it happen. I'm kinda confused as to how this would happen and where? Wouldn't the dog be on a leash, in a fenced yard or somewhere where the paparazzi would be scaring the coyotes away? It IS a little frightening since I live in an area full of them (and also owls). We have a fenced back yard and two big dogs, too, so I always thought it wouldn't be something I'd have to think about. But maybe...How aweful nonetheless!

http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/off...en-coyote.html I don't think that is was ever said exactly where it happened but it really is very sad. As for having a fenced yard, that will not stop a coyote from jumping it to find a meal. If they are hungry they will come looking and it will not matter if you have larger dogs as well. I've heard stories where the coyotes have lured out very large labs and attacked in a pack!

| How sad! Pretty sure if I had ever seen anything like that or heard of it in my area, I would have my shotgun outside whenever my dogs were out! Anything that tried to attack my baby boys would get a lovely blast of shot to the head! Sorry to be graphic, I just feel very passionately about that...
