I don't think that is was ever said exactly where it happened but it really is very sad. As for having a fenced yard, that will not stop a coyote from jumping it to find a meal. If they are hungry they will come looking and it will not matter if you have larger dogs as well. I've heard stories where the coyotes have lured out very large labs and attacked in a pack!
