| question about xpens It's time for me to purchase a xpen for Cissy and have been trying to do my research. Question that I have is - how do these do on ceramic tile floors? I was wondering about stability. Will she be able to move these around on the tile floor thus working herself out, she's a jumper when she's determined and I was concerned about her working at it until she's "free". Thanks for your input!!

| I'm not sure about ceramic but I had this on wood floor as well as a tile, and it worked well for Jackson as a pup. http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_1...word=kids+gate

| Our xpen is held together with "clips" that the dogs can not undo. We have a large xpen for our big dog and he cant get it apart no matter how hard he tries. I dont think that would be an issue for you. I dont have ceramic tiles so I dont know how they would do on the tile.

| We bought the medium size expen - put in on a piece of vinyl on the concrete. It worked just fine for us. That said, Bailey is not a jumper nor was she determined to get out - it was perfect for us.

| I have this kind MidWest Dog Exercise Pens, Outdoor Dog Pens, Exercise Pens for Dogs. It works great on vinyl, but not sure about tile. To keep Pixel from trying to climb out I put a tarp over it and attached with binder clips. It doesn't look all that pretty, but it has kept him in every day while I'm at work for about 7 months now lol |

| We have this xpen from Midwest pens. We got the 36" one because Sophie is a jumper, too. We bought it and a midwest wire crate to match at Petsmart. We have it on carpet that isn't very thick but have used it on hardwood, too. She doesn't seem to be able to move it and she doesn't climb it either. She only climbs her crate. But we've stopped her from that after she got stuck up there for a little bit. Anyway, it has a door on it and hooks together with the clips. Here are some pics of it so you can see our set up. I actually have the crate against the back a different way now; the longer side is next to the back instead so she can have more room. The crate has 2 doors on it so I can move it around as needed. We have it set up where we can open it up while we're home to let her have the run of the great room, entry, and kitchen. We bought two baby gates to set up in front of the bedroom (so the cats can escape) and the laundry room (where the cat litter boxes are). The baby gates are short enough she could jump over them if she wanted, but she hasn't tried. She learned boundaries pretty quick so I bet your baby will too! Good luck!
