Someone bought a puppy from petland...
and now he's trying to get rid of her. He says he bought her for his girlfriend and she's living in a place that doesnt allow pets. Would you guys buy this dog? I would provide her with the best home possible, but I also know the reputation of petstore dogs, not the dogs in themselves, but the rearing and treatment they receive. What's your advice? She's a yorkie...

She deserves a good home regardless of where she came from.
I assume you will get to see her first to help make your decision. I'd also see if you can make taking her conditional on a positive health check by your vet.
Go for her.

Just make sure you are financially prepared for the vet bills that can come with a dog from a puppy mill. Also keep in mind that since Lacy is so young, you will have two seniors at the same time. Even healthy seniors are expensive as they age as they need frequent blood panels, dentals and invariably they will have some health problems.
My honest opinion, based upon what I have been through with Lady, would be to pass on this puppy. If you want to get another Yorkie, I'd get one from a really good breeder. It will be much, much cheaper in the long run.

I would buy her...as long as she checked out well at the vet. I feel sad for her...starting out in Petland, which we know that they buy from puppymills and then, when she was bought, she is already being rehomed.
So, yes, I would definitely give her a chance at a happy life! Good luck with whatever you decide.
