| New Yorkie on Friday Been looking for a Yorkie since I spent some time around my Aunt's this past summer. I've been allergic to dogs my whole life. It was amazing to be around a dog that didn't bother me. I found an adult dog and he'll be arriving tomorrow (Friday). Anyways, just lurking on the forums and trying to learn as much as I can. I'll post pics after he gets here. His old owner was not treating him well so the breeders took him back. So he's not in the best shape. He recently had a very short haircut to remove all the matting. He's just under a year old and suppose to already be house broke. I keep saying he instead of his name. The previous owner calls him Whiskey. Just not sure I want to keep that name around my two small kids. So we'll see what fits when he gets here. If we keep Whiskey then we may go with Whiskey River after the Willie Nelson song... I don't know. Oh well, just saying hi and thanks for this sight. Its been loads of information already. Micheal |

| Welcome to YorkieTalk, and congratulations on your lil guy. Don't worry at all about changing his name.... a complete change would work out fine. Find something that suits his personality and that you and your family like.

| Hi welcome and congratulations! You could name him Willie after Willie Nelson. That would be too cute. It will always remind you of finding him and him getting a new chance for a wonderful life. You could even sing the song Wiskey River to him every now and then |

| I think naming your dog could be something fun for you and your family to do together and they might come up with a really good name. My 4 yr old niece named her dog Fluff

| Waiting on him to arrive now. Kind of liking the idea of naming him Willie and the bandana on his head, lol. Have to see him and see if it works. Thanks for all the well wishes and welcomes. Micheal |
