| I sure agree about the clothing. They've always had an old robe that was hers in their sleeping area and I added a couple of throw blankets that she used a lot so they have her scent. I think that does help them, not only with losing her but with suddenly being in a different house.

| Thank you so much for gathering the strength to share your story with me. I know how hard it is and will continue to be. I think I'm getting through it by focusing my attention on The Boys but I know that I'm going to have to start dealing with my own feelings any time now. I'd really rather see to the Yorkies and I'm sure you know what I mean. Hugs to you and I'll keep you in my prayers.

| I'm so sorry for your loss. Becca was always my baby, and Alexander was my ex-husbands buddy. When we divorced several years ago, Alex was devastated. I didn't know what to do for him except wait it out. Really the only, and the best, thing you can give him is time. And lots and lots of love. Having Tank there will help him, too. I'm sending prayers for all of you.

However, I intentionally didn't wash some of his things ... a robe, his slippers, a T-shirt ... soft, comfortable things. They both take these items of clothing and scrunch them up into little "nests" and sleep there. Not all the time, but a lot of the time. The first few days were the hardest - for them *and* me - but it's getting better. He had many long hospitalizations when he would be gone for weeks at a time, so perhaps they just think this is another one of those? It tears my heart out to see Puddie drag a T-shirt around before nesting, but they are coping. Perhaps it has something to do with the length of illness, that they had time to adjust? Peace to you and yours. Things will NEVER be the same, but the pain will diminish with time ... | |

| Marti, I am so sorry for your loss and hope your boys settle down soon and stop feeling so sad. And Debra, your post made me cry about Sadie being with her Daddy. (((Hugs))) to both of you!
