| Growth after 6 months? How much did your furbutts grow after age 6 months? I understand that they slow down at this age, is that true? Please tell me what your babies did?

| Well let's see, Tayah who is 6 1/2 lbs now at 2 years old gained a pound around a year old and then she was done. Harley who weighs 3lb11oz now at 1 year old hit 5 months and has not grown much at all, maybe a few oz here and there. I really think it depends on genetics of your puppy.

| Sophie was 3 lbs at six months and has weighed 4 lbs for the last three months. Given her parents size my breeder tells me she thinks she's maxed out at 4 lbs give or take a few ounces. Jackie & Sophie Last edited by MI Yorkielover; 08-31-2009 at 08:35 AM. |

| I really think that it depends on the dog, Maddie was 2 lbs 2 oz at 5 months, 2lbs 4oz at the end of 6 months she hit a growth spurt right after that bumped her up to 2lbs 8oz haha not that much of a growth spurt but every bit counts right. she has not gained an oz since and is almost 11months. I am hoping that she will have another growth spurt here soon, it would be great if she would hit 3lbs for her 1st bday Copper grew very different than Maddie, he stopped gaining at about 5 months and then hit a growth spurt at a year, and another growth spurt at 15months. Again all of them are so different, I feel like my yorkies are always surprising me in one way or another.
