| I give Bayli stuff from the boggie bakery... but it's always tiny, never a whole one and just about once a month. She loves it, I tasted it one time because it looked so real, was just like the real thing but the owner reassured me there is nothing in them that will hurt my girls. My Jack Russell and boyfriend's Australian Shepherd and Choc. Lab LOVESSSSS stuff from the bakery!

| My yorkie, Hershie, loves the treats that I make her. I found some great recipes online for cakes and cookies that are healthy for our lil ones. And yes, of course, the treats that pet bakerys make are healthy and okay for them to eat. Hershie's favorite treat is peanut butter delight...here is the recipe if you want to try it out: (FYI: it is also okay for humans to eat, taste just like a peanut butter cookie to me) Peanut Butter Delight 1 cup whole wheat flour or white flour 1 tsp baking soda 1/4 cup peanut butter 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1 cup shredded carrots (optional) 1 tsp vanilla 1/3 cup honey 1 egg Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Mix together flour and baking soda. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into greased 8 inch round cake pan or muffin pan (for individual cakes) and bake for 30 minutes (20 minutes for muffin pan) Let cool and frost with a cinnamon frosting. Decorate with more peanut butter and carrots (optional). Cinnamon Frosting: Combine the following ingredients together and blend thoughly. 12 ounces nonfat cream cheese (room temperature) 3 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp vanilla 1 tsp honey

| I didn't think I should give Sophie any treat, except half of a AKC training treat during training, until she was at least eight months old just to be safe and because I didn't want her to beg for human food at the table. Now when I go to Starbucks for a skinny hot chocolate I have them put just a little whip cream in a separate sample cup so she get a few licks of whipped cream which she loves and she likes little bits of carrot. I haven't tried any fruit. Now, after reading this thread, I feel like I've been a little stingy and maybe I should loosen up a little more. |

| My boys LOVE green beans! Just like their mama! We had a garden and we were picking them and putting them in a bowl which was on the ground and they were snipping them out and running away to eat them! LOL I give them bits of canteloupe, apple, carrots, shredded cheese, whipped cream or ice cream (tiny bits of that) and sometimes I'll break off the top of a popsicle and let them eat that on a hot day. I know whats toxic and do not feed them anything toxic, or anything I cook with spices but if its all natural (plain meat (except pork), fruit, veggies) then they usually get a small bite.

I will usually give ours a little bit of what we are having. Things like ice cream, cheerios, lots of veggies, pasta, steak, chicken, pork. Now when I say little bits I mean little bits. they're not big on fruits. When I give them a zukes treat, I usually will divide one in half and they each get a half. And of course they get Yorkie Yummies!

I'm very picky with what I feed Rily because I have a schnauzer with liver disease because my husband fed her everything we ate. Don't want that to happen again. We made lots of mistakes with Fancy.....she even ate grapes!!!!!My vet said to feed Rily mostly dry puppy food, so I've stuck to that for the most part. I also give him Honey Nut Cheerios for treats. He has a Kong that I put puppy biscuits or busy bars in.....it takes him a long time to get them out. He loves the BilJac training treats, but I don't give him very many of those at all. I've heard carrots are good, so I give Fancy, the schnauzer, carrots for her treats. She loves them!

| Both of mine love green beans, carrotts, little bits o boiled chicken breast, cheerios, and vanilla yogurt. I have never given them fruit, but I may give that a try..I had a Jack Russell who loved apples,so I would probably try that first. When I try something new I always just give them a tiny bit and wait a few days (like i did when my skin kids were babies to make sure no bad reactions).

| Both of my boys love fruits and vegetables especially carrots and apples. They also get treats from the local dog bakery sometimes. I have to make sure and buy the ones that are softer like the shortbread or cupcakes because the other treats they sell are too hard for them. Every once in a while they get ice cream from Sonic or custard from Shakeys. They get SUPER excited when I pull up to one of those places because they know that they're going to get a treat!!! |

| Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I would be EXTREMELY careful. Dogs are carnivores. They wouldnt NORMALLY eat fruits and veggies. And sugar substitues are a NONO. I would stick to dried meat as a treat. As most dogs would not normally eat sugary foods. Maybe if they grabbed something off your table, but that should be a nono too. Just be careful of the diet. Sugar isnt meant for dogs. Might be better if you post this in the diet section, to get a broader prospective of responses.
