this story is so sad for both of u. It sounds like either one of u is happy with the other.
You sounds like u r overwhelmed by this little thing , which is a puppy.
Potty training can be very difficult, every dog has a different personality just like a skin baby. It looks like u don't have the time to train this puppy, so do the right thing for both of u. He didn't have a choice u do, Please just find him a good home, someone that's home and can devote time and understands the breed and have time to work with him. I'm so sorry u can't handle or understand him, and he knows u r upset and this partnership will not work.
I wish u were a little closer I would have try to help u train him.

If you can't give him all the attention he needs you should place him in a new home, how would you like to be locked up most of your days?

I totally agree, if you can't give him your time, give him up to someone who can and doesn't mind it.

Funny, I just watched "Underdog to Wonderdog" and they had a dog that would freak out when in the crate and he had not been house trained. Anyway, they set a timer for potty breaks the same time everyday and if the dog wouldn't go within 5 minutes they would take the dog back in and hold him on their lap, wait another ten minutes and take him out again until he goes to the bathroom. Also, they said to take him to the same small spot until he went to the bathroom and as a reward they would walk him. As far as the crate goes, every time they'd put him in the crate they would play nice music to get him used to being in there. He could only be in there for 30 seconds in the beginning but worked up from there. I've also seen them put treats or toys in the crate to entertain them as well. I hope it all works out for you. I haven't read all the posts, but I wanted to say something... I have a rescue yorkie that came to me and although he wouldn't try and eat his way out of the crate, he did have severe diarrhea in it everytime we'd leave him. I couldn't even baby gate him in the bathroom alone and walk 10 feet to my bed to go to sleep without him crying and getting diarrhea. We figured out that he didn't like to feel isolated - even if we were in the same room. I know it's impossible to be with him ALL the time, so we tried letting him free roam our master bedroom with our other yorkie and bada bing bada boom, he stopped getting sick. Now he is either with Chip (other yorkie) or if we have to take Chip somewhere, I do make sure someone is with him to avoid him freaking out. Could this be a possibility? Trying to keep him company with someone, whether it be dog or human? I agree with some of the posts that I did read too, you should consult a trainer. This sounds like an issue that a GOOD trainer could help with. This behavior is NOT normal and needs to be addressed while he's still relatively young.

The OP began writing about this in April, 3 times in all now. Seems like things just are not going to change for them. The OP makes a post, then you don't hear from them again until the next plea for help. Does not make sense to me.

I believe thqat perhaps you arenot suited to owning a yorkie, or at least q yorkie puppy. I urge you to rehome him and get another breed, or at least an adult yorkie that does not reqire so much attention.

Puppies are very demanding, just like babies, they need a lot of attention and a lot of training. If you want one that is content to just lie at your feet then get an adult dog.

But please do not blame the dog, or the breed. he is just doing what puppies do. No puppy is going to be happy in a cage.

Reading the replies, I agree, you need to get an x-pen. The crate is way to little for them to play in when you're to busy. Also, cooking dinner etc isn't that hard when you keep them in the kitchen with you. I made a great steak dinner tonight and Colt being 1 lb stayed in there with me. I just talked to him as i cooked. He loved it!!
