YT 500 Club Member | ![]() So we measured Snickers a few weeks ago and he fit the "charts" as a size small on everything except his chest. His chest is 17 1/2 inches and the chart says only 14-16 in. So should we get a medium, or a small? Cable Knit Varsity Sweater MED RED Dog Puppy Apparel - eBay (item 400065150768 end time Aug-31-09 00:30:22 PDT) Cable Knit Varsity Sweater SMALL RED Dog Puppy Apparel - eBay (item 400065150701 end time Aug-31-09 00:29:39 PDT) This is what I'm looking at buying, we we're thinking if we got a medium we could just wash it since it's knit and it will shrink. So which one would you get?

| ![]() I agree go with the medium. I've bought too small sweaters before and it looks ridiculous. Also I wouldn't worry about it shrinking when you wash it. Most dog clothes are made of synthetic fibers which don't shrink.

| ![]() in sizing anything be it dogs or humans, always measure the three sizes, then whichever size is the BIGGEST of the three, match that to the sizing chart, for instance: chest, neck, length if the chest is the biggest size at 17 inches, then go to the size that is the same or slightly larger than the biggest size you measured for it's the same in women's sizes, bust, waist, hips, always go with the largest of the three and order the size that includes your largest feature as accurate. |
