Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | What have you learned from YT? I admit I spend a lot of time on YT just oohing and ahhing over the cute Yorkies with the rest of you, but I've also learned a lot of potentially life-saving things in the short time I've been here. Here are a few of them. What have you learned? Nylabones are good; sticks are bad Car seats are not just for sissy dogs Yorkies can do agility Small Yorkies are prone to medical problems Liver shunt can be treated Rawhide bones and greenies can be dangerous When in doubt, go to the vet. When you doubt your vet, get a second opinion

WoW, it's really quiet this early in the morning. I could go on forever on things I have learned but knowing that "grapes" were so dangerous was my biggest surprise.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Yeah, I was surprised to see you up. I get off work at 1:30 a.m. Alaska time, and I'm often the only one here. It's now 3 and about bedtime. I forgot about the grapes. That's a good one!

| I have learned that you need to have money in a savings account, because when these lil' babys get sick you need to get them to the vet. I have also learned that the people here on YT love there babies so very much and will be there for you when you need advice! To all those proud mommy's and daddy's out there for posting soooo many cute pix !

| - Harness is better than leash - It is a good thing to spay your dog between 1st and second heat if it is not going to be used for breeding - Corn is bad - Chocolate and grapes are bad - You can teach them to use a bell to signal getting out - Yorkielovers are the same all over the world!

| I have learned that I am not off the deep end all by myself and that you can make 'friends' with people you have never actually seen or spoken to. I have learned to downsize pictures (that was a big deal for me) and that my computer won't actually melt if I leave it on all the time, making it much more convienient to check in as I whiz past the thing. I have learned to type with one hand and comb with the other. not much slower than with both... I didn't know it was possible to type in baby talk and the chew deterrent deodorant trick is a good one. |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | i have gotten a great wealth of information, these are some of the things that i think will stick with me forever. 1. i'm not alone in my obsession with yorkies. 2. i'm not the only one who can stay up all night talking. 3. i didn't know it was possible to talk, let alone type, in doggy/baby talk. 4. i didn't know you could make such great friends, even if i've never met them. 5. i didn't know about the deoderant trick to make them stop chewing, thats pretty neat! 6. i learned that its always best to use a harness, not a collar. 7. no matter what pet store you buy from, more than likely they're from puppy mills. 8. and i think one of the biggest things i've learned on here is......there's no such thing as teacups!!

I've learned that you can toss & turn all night worrying about a lost/sick furbaby and their families - yet you'll probably never meet them!! And like Megan said it would take hours to list everything, but grapes was a big one for me to!

| I have learned that : Harnesses is safer for yorkies. Chocolates, grapes and onions are bad for Yorkies. Brushing their teeths is a most. There are different types of coats. Any questions that i may have someone in YT will have the answer. Everyone in YT is fun, caring, supporting and helpful. And last but not least that I can get addicted to a site were I find people with my same love to Yorkies. |
