| Sleeping in the bed with you? Jerry is now 5 months old and hasnt had an accident during the night in over a month. as of right now his "den"/crate is downstairs in the living room and my bedroom is upstairs.I feel like hes so far away! i could move his crate to my room but then he wouldent have it to sleep in during the day if he wanted to? he has never had a problem with his bedroom arrangement and neither have I because I usually donty allow dogs in my bed because im so used to having 100+lb dirty dogs. Now that I have little Jerry I was thinking that maybe I could have him sleep with me in the bed at night? I know hes trustworthy(to not piss), but I ive seen an episode if the dog whisperer i think where Ceasar says that if they sleep in bed with you they start thinking they are "the boss"like the dog not wanting your husband in the bed with you and nipping at him and such? im not sure if im exactly right about what im talking about because i saw this episode a while ago so i guess the real questions IS: howmany of you let your dog sleep in the bed with you? and have you had any problems with it?? |

| Out of my six, two girls sleep with me every night. No potty issues but it is not fun when one of them (aa yapper) is sitting right next to my head yapping at four in the morning. If he is happy with his current arrangement, I would leave him be. |

| Mine sleeps with me too, but I agree you have to be prepared for the 4 am bark attack, some times I wonder if my house has ghosts because I never can see what she is barking at....but it looks like she is staring at something... Id let him sleep with you , mine has never had a accident and she is only 8 months..

| I tried letting Apple sleep w/me when she was sleeping through the night...However, I didn't really rest well, worrying about her jumping off the bed, during the night...And since I have to work, it wasn't a good thing...After 3 nights, she went back to the living room, where she has pillows all around the couch, and little sleep places on the couch, ie. pillow one end, blanket the other...She didn't seem at all upset, when I put her back in the living room...I think once they get used to a sleeping arrangement, they're just fine w/it... |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | All of mine have slept with me. All at different ages. Cali was fine in her play pen in my room until she was trained at about 7 months. Roxie at about 5 months and Pixie was 13 months when I got her but not trained but screamed when I put her in a crate so she slept with my from day one. When I had Gracie she wouldn't settle down in the bathroom off my bedroom so the first night(she was 9 weeks old) she fell asleep on the middle of my pillow and never slept anywhere else, I did get her up once during the night to go outside. So I pretty much try to keep them in a crate or confined until I know they can hold it through the night, but with some they were pad trained and could get off the bed and use the pad so they slept with me sooner. Fortunately,I never had one wet the bed. I have always wanted them with me as soon as possible. I have never had a problem with them thinking they were alpha.

| My husband took our Tessa to bed with us the first time when she was 3 months old! She is basically my dog, but she has him wrapped around he little paw!! And I guess he decided that she was lonely in her crate (even tho I didn't have a problem with it) We have had no accidents, and she sleeps until he gets her up at 6 when he gets up to go to work. I was worried that he would roll over on her cause she likes to sleep in the middle of the bed and he is a heavy sleeper, but he actually has woken up and told me to watch out if she was somewhere different in the bed so I would see her!! Go figure! |

| Molly sleeps with us and we've never had aggression problems. I watch the trainer shows too, but I try to remember that not all dogs are the same, and just like with kids, not all forms of discipline work for each one. I absolutely LOVE Molly sleeping with me. She does get banished at certain times...tv is a good babysitter for kids and dogs...ha! Give it a try and if it works for you, enjoy it!! |

| Ours are allowed to sleep wherever they want (well, S'mores...Livi's 8 week old puppy sleeps in his kennel next to our bed). Harley normally sleeps in the living room and the other three used to always sleep with me and my husband. But in the past couple of months, Huckleberry has become very close to my 6 year old daughter and he now only wants to sleep with her. Livi and Izzy still want with mommy and daddy, though. We do not have any aggression or dominant issues with any of them. |

| Our oldest yorkie sleeps in the bed with us! We haven't had any problems as far as accidents, but I have kicked her (she sleeps at the bottom of the bed under the covers on my side) a few times... We've woken up to her once or twice to her barking, but it wasn't too late at night! Our youngest one had an accident in our bed a few weeks after we got her so her sleeping with us right now is out of the question! She loves her crate too much anyway!

| Peanut sleeps with us when HE wants too!! He has a little stool and will jump up there. But when he was a little younger we did let him sleep with us in the bed with us and it was our job to know when he was moving around and needed to pee...but he did have some accidents!! But we just worked with him, took him potty before we went to bed. Eventually he got it down. I dont really care what ceaser says he is my baby and if he wants to sleep with me then he can If you want to start having your baby sleep with you, just start working with them, it is a hassle in the begining bc you have to sleep really light and watch them, wake up when you feel them moving..but in the end its worth it..

| One of mine feels more comfortable sleeping in her penned off area (just big enough to hold her bed only) she can't get out and nothing can get in. I tried letting her sleep in bed with me but she would figgit all night long, bark at things I couldn't see or hear (of course once she would start barking, so did the rest of them) leaving us both tired the next day. The two males start off in bed while I'm watching the news, as soon as I turn off the tv, one goes to the livingroom and sleeps on the back of the couch and the other will stay for a llittle while after the tv goes off but, I always find him curled up in his bed in the dining room later on. I never had any problem with any of them wanting to be charge of the pack. They all know the leader is the one that controls the food! Me.

| Missy has slept with us since day 1. I wouldn't have it any other way, and we've had zero problems. I love my puppy kisses in the morning
