Oliver started sleeping with me after I had him for about 3 months (he's approx. a year old). No accidents, but I do take him out in the middle of the night as I find he sleeps longer if I do. I do get the wake up barks every now and again, but he's usually pretty good. I did just get a new bed though, and of course all the new ones are super high, so I worry about him a lot. He's jumped off a few times and was fine, but one of these times.... I need to find something to put near the bed so he can safely get on and off.

Maddie has slept with me from day one. Well, she has had the option to sleep up in bed with me since day one. I have doggie stairs (sooo cute! ) and if she wants she can sleep up in bed with me but I would say 75% of the time she is sleeping on my shirt on the floor that I wore that day! She isn't fully potty trained yet so I leave a puppy pad out just in case I don't wake up and she ALWAYS gets off the bed and goes to the potty pad if she needs to go. If she is tired in the middle of the day she goes to my room, hops up the puppy stairs and crashes in my bed. I love that little stinker! Just have to make sure that my ENTIRE room is puppy-proofed because she will get down and play in the middle of the night while I am sleeping. My room has never been kept so clean! haha

Rambo sleeps with me, my son (who is 30), or my husband. I prefer him sleeping with me cause when he has a reversed sneezing attack, I can calm him down by just rubbing and massaging him. When it comes to 9 pm he looks up at me and just about says its time for bed.

Piper has been sleeping with me since she was about 5 months old. She use to sleep in her crate but I have a 24 year old son that likes to stay up all night. Piper slept in the kitchen but everytime she saw my son (raiding the fridge) she thought it was time to get up and wanted out of the crate. Now when I bring her to bed she scoots under the covers and snuggles up to my legs and she doesn't move or makes a peep until the alarm goes off in the morning. Then she comes out from under the covers and gives me that look that says tell me it's not morning. I literally have to scoop her up out of the bed and carry her outside to do her business. Even then she sits at first and just looks at me, you got to be kidding. I tell her do potty and she goes on command. Once she's back inside she's off and running and her day begins.

Talking I sleep in their bed Lol !!!!

Well since they think it's their bed , I sleep with them Lol. They go to bed before I do , one on each side. I sleep in the middle, use to get the 4-5 o'clock wake up call, but now they do really good by 6:30 or 7:00am we all get up, I open my eyes to see what they r doing and if they see I'm awake they jump on me to get rub, and then mommy gets lots of kisses. Wouldn't have it any other way !!!! one is pad train and I can hear her get up at night to go potty, he won't us the pad , he also don't get off the bed at night, and waits until morning to go outside.

Our Oscar started to sleep with us when he was about 5 months old, until then he sleeped in his crate by my side of the bed, we started to let him fall asleep on the bed and then I would put him in his crate to sleep, after a few times of making him go into his crate he refussed to go in it so, my hubby who said he would never never allow a dog in the bed said leave him in the bed then, and he has been there ever since, Our newest Keysha sleeps in her crate cuz she is not well trained yet and she seems to be ok in the crate, she does comming in bed in the am for awhile. It has its pros and cons like everything else, only you can decide where he is best. Oscar sometimes thinks the bed is his but I just tell him it is my bed and there is always the floor, and he gets better.

Zeus is nearly 9 months old and had always slept in his crate. I am going to experiment by putting his bed next to mine tonight to see how he does. I am afraid of rolling on him or him falling out of my bed to have him sleep with me. I just hope he doesn't wander the house instead of sleep. Wish me luck!

We adopted Tessie in March and she was 2 1/2 yrs old. Her previous owners had let her sleep in the bed with them. I was nervous about the sleeping situation when we brought her home, but when we put her in bed with us the first night she curled up between us and slept all night. We have the 'doggie steps' so she can get on and off the bed, but she has never had an accident. She just fit right in and my husband loves her kissies in the morning

All 3 of my girls sleep with us. Never had any problems. Most of the time I get up before they do.
