| Need new summer hair cut ideas! Ok I need help. I need a new shorter haircut for Teddy's summer cut! He has an appointment on Friday. Last summer he was a puppy and had short hair already. he now has beautiful long silky hair and I don't want it to short his momma (Bridgette) always has a short cut as her hair is not as silky as Teddy's. Anyway if anyone has any shorter hair cut photos I'd really really appreciate it. My groomer does a better job when she has a picture to reference off of. This is Teddy today! It's been 100 degrees or higher lately. And he looks very beautiful but I'm sure he appreciate a shorter hair cut and in about a month or so when it starts cooling down we can let it grow back out!

| You probably wouldn't want it this short... but Jackson got shaved up for the summer and I loved it because it was sooo low maintenance. This picture was from the day after it was done, it's now already grown back significantly. I got his hair cut at the end of June. The second picture is of his last hairstyle back in April, shorter but not so short.

| Here is a picture of my Shorty when he had a summer cut at the groomers several years ago. This cut could be modified and made a bit short, especially the face. |

| I really appreciate all the replies. But it took him a year to grow all his beautiful hair. I would hate to shave him or cut him too short. I love the long silky hair. But I can just tell he is very uncomfortable going potty outside now.

| OHHHH! I like this! Gunnar needs a cut too and I hate losing his hair. He will be one on 8/21. Darn, I didn't do it right. I was replying to Jeanm1963

| Wow Rachel! I came across this site while googling info on Yorkies so I signed up and was thinking I wonder if Rachel has a account and here you are!! Your posting was the second one I clicked after signing up! BridgetteMomma is the most amazing pet owner I've ever met!! As far as Teddy..A haircut would be nice for him in this 100 degree weather..hehe...Here's one I found that would be nice! |

I was soo worried about cutting Jackson's hair too but he, like Rily, had sooo much puppy hair! It had to be brushed at least 2-3x a day to look decent. So I took him to the groomer and was VERY clear I didn't want a lot cut off, she just trimmed the face, and paws, belly, etc. I just knew I had to let him grow up someday... lol. BridgettesMomma... I would just tell your groomer that you simply want a TRIM, around the eyes, butt, paws, etc. I think he'd look adorable and still be able to keep his long hair.
