Need new summer hair cut ideas!

I just cut Maddie's hair about 10 min ago! She got into some sticky burr type plants and matted her hair... I think that it turned out pretty cute, the hair on the legs and skirt would normally be a bit thicker but the some of the burrs had to be cut out. This is similar to some of the other cuts posted.
Fist one is a before (it had just reached the ground)

You may not want it this short, but it's very easy to care for and looks cute.

Travers had very, very long thick silky hair. It was beautiful, but I decided to give him a break and cut it short this summer because it has been SO HOT!! I really like it. I think I will keep it. He looks so cute and feels so free!

Here are some now. It has been about two weeks since I cut it. I really like it because he looks good all the time and since he wears a belly band it is easy to keep him clean. Just be sure whatever you do that they leave some hair on the legs. I cut one of my boys legs short and he looked so pitiful until it grew out. I like this way much better. You can leave a skirt if you want. I didn't because of the belly band.



I had a hard time getting him to hold still. I had to bribe him with is favorite duck, but he kept getting it away from me. He was looking up so high in the 2nd pic (the only way I could keep it out of reach) that you can't see his eyes. LOL In the last picture he escaped and hid under the table to get away from the camera...

Here is Beau's summer cut. I too like his hair on the shorter side, but not shaved. My compromise is a round face and a short skirt!

Here's how I got Riot cut...trimmed up his legs, beard, belly, chest then his hair on the top of his back is longer than the sides if that makes sense! This way he kept some of his hair =) This has about 6 weeks of growth.

I love this look on Maddie!! She is so adorable. I think I'm going to have to break down and cut some of Murphy's hair and I think this would look great on him, too. He & Maddie look a lot alike and have very similar coloring. Thank you for sharing!

Thankyou, I just used a number two on my clippers and just shaved down all the hair from from the top of her neck to the base of her tail. I went arround her little booty and then along the sides leaving the chest, legs, and skirt. I scissored arround her face to make it round and cute. Then I just trim the skirt, I have had some practice because this is pretty close to how I cut Copper's hair. I was really nervous trying it on her, so I am glad that you like it

Thankyou, I think it would look really good on Murphy too They really do look alot alike. Oh and she is really enjoying her sassy short cut, she is prancing all over the house this morning.
