Difference between and silky and a yorkie?

Ladies, Let us not forget that the orginal yorkie was a bit bigger and was bred for rat catching.. Just because your yorkie might be bigger, doesn't mean he/she is not a yorkie.. According to my very old AKC book "it took many years before the yorkshire was really small enough to be called a toy." And don't get me wrong the breeding of yorkie with silkies is a good point too, as there are so many breeders out there who are just in it for the money

Having a big litter of pups don't necessary means that the mother is a silky . I have Yorkie and she have had 6 pups in a litter . Most of the confusions could be avoid if some so - called breeders stop breeding their dogs because they think they have breeding specimens . A registered dog don't always mean that he or she have qualities for breeding .
