| Your new puppy is very tiny , he cannot be dragged by your other female yorkie anymore at all, this is asking for a major tragedy. I would buy a xpen, playpen or crate for your new puppy , tommorow am. Until then , keep them in different rooms. those two have to be kept separated at all times . Just for the new puppies safety. He is too fragile right now , and can't be treated like that. Do what you need to do to keep your little one safe. Do you have a gate you can block your other yorkie in a different room? I have a female Yorkie , she is 17months old, and then I have a 14week old Shih Tzu , who is 4 Lbs. They play together all the time. However, if it ever gets too rough , i'll separate them. Always placing my Yorkie in the other room, closing the door. Just because Suzi, the Yorkie is a lot bigger then the puppy. Even though they love to play , i just do not want accidents to happen. I do this when when leave as well. They are never together when we are gone. However, Suzi has never dragged our puppy around. That is very scary IMO.

No Longer a Member | Thanks ,, gonna get the xpen , because keeping the female yorkie in another room ani't happen she is a brat, no i have always babyed her and she don't no what the word no is. Because she has never been told no . Shes kinda like a spoiled kid that's always got their way, you no the kind you would't want your kid to play with. Lol . She was my first dog in a long time. And i have not done this wright. At all ,,, im not joking if i get on to her about the puppy she will get in the middle of the floor and bark at me like crazy ,then if i go torward her she starts running around the house like catch me if you can. Its funny but then it's not if that makes sence |

| Please listen to Mscat above. She is right. A serious accident waiting to happen. They must be separated!

Wow you should really consider training your little girl the word no as well or it can be an issue between your two yorkies... Bailey is my only baby but she knows what no means. I am sure your a great momma i am just saying you dont want her to be a brat forever with having a new puppy in the house and everything. Goodluck and xpen are awesome for this matter for sure.

| seperation is good. but you have to do more than that, because accidents happen, and you can't keep him crated 24/7. the issue is she has no boundaries. She needs to develop some, quickly. You are the pack leader. You must make that clear, that her behaviour is unnaceptable. Also, they will work out their pecking order. this summer I had the following in my house: 100 lb. german shepherd (2.5 years old) 20 pound yorkie (14 years old) 4 pound yorkie (now 5-who was 5 months old) 2.2 pound yorkie (14 weeks) I had a playpen for the little guys, when they absolutely had to be seperated, but ultimately they had to work out their issues amongst themselves. The big guy was never a problem, the older yorkie just wanted to be left alone (and the babies refused to play that game!) but he basically put them in their places and they learned what they could and couldn't do. now the 2 pounder and the 4 pounder went at it pretty hard (rolling, snarling, playing) but they had both come from large litters and learned that behavior there. I only stepped in when someone sounded seriously in danger. In this way they figured out the pack order (Hamish, Fergus, then Dante-Callum eventually went to my Dad's house, we were doing extended puppy sitting) But everyone in my house knows I AM THE TOP DOG. not them. So they listen (well, the yorkies listen as well as yorkies will....) and when I say "no, break it up" they stop. You need to develop that kind of order or you will have created a bully and she will know it.
