Oh I am so sorry for the pain you are feeling right now. We just had to put Max down. He was my husband's rat terrior he had for years. he was blind and crippled to the point of hurt himself. We had to let him go and it was the hardest thing ever for everyone but mostly dad and it had to be around father's day. I don't know if it will help any but I pray it will. Here is a poem I gave to my husband on father's day and it helped him feel alittle better. Our prayer's are with you!

I truly am so sorry and I'm praying for you both. I too went through the same thing two weeks ago and understand how much it hurts. I am so sorry.
Many of us have gone through what you are facing and know exactly how you feel. Just know that we understand and you will always have friends here to talk to.

We had to have my our beloved German Shepherd put down a couple of weeks ago and it hurts deeply. I had to leave the board for a week because I couldn't deal with all of the dog conversations without crying.
The pain is lessening but I still cry (like right now.)

Someday we will be able to think about our furkids without the pain but it is hard. Be strong and remember that even though it is almost killing you, you are doing the right thing - the kindest thing. Our pets deserve no less.
