| Some yorkies are more vocal than others. He will probably do other things the longer you have him to get your attention. My Chachi barks, howls, whines and crys

| I don't think it's necessarily a yorkie thing, I think it just depends on the dog....Twinkle rarely barks, but Wicket likes to make his presence known (I think because he's smaller).....he likes to run around the garden in circles just yapping away at nothing in particular....we call it his happy yap The yapping, along with the occasional pee on the floor and the odd chewed sock is just part and parcel of having a furbaby xxx

| I think it depends on the personality too. My Kayti doesn't, Khloe does! Last edited by daylee; 07-28-2009 at 09:06 AM. |

YT 2000 Club Member | none of my dogs are barkers.. BUT Tucker likes to bark when he is playing or yips when he wants out of his kennel or I leave his sight. There are several posts on here that will help you find a solution. I wouldnt let it continue if its not something you desire cause it will only worse has he gets older.

| Chipper RIP use to bark at everything. Piper rarely barks and if she does there is a good reason.

| Bella whines all the time! she is sometimes better then others, but for the most part she is pretty whiney! especially if there is food! She will whine like no other and shake, it is horrible actually. I have tried everything. Coins in a can, metal spoon to metal bowl etc. I have given up to be honest. But i think the whining is worse than the barking, lol.
