I don't think it's necessarily a yorkie thing, I think it just depends on the dog....Twinkle rarely barks, but Wicket likes to make his presence known (I think because he's smaller
).....he likes to run around the garden in circles just yapping away at nothing in particular....we call it his happy yap
The yapping, along with the occasional pee on the floor and the odd chewed sock is just part and parcel of having a furbaby
