| Coat Wrapping I finally did it...I am soooooo happy took me 2 days practicing...but i think i finally got the hang of it...still not perfect but it doesn;t look that bad either, i know with practice it will only get better.... Now i need advice from you guys on what products to use and how to do things correctly...and how long do i have to keep doing it? Mojo's coat is not touching the floor yet, as i always trimmed at about 4 inches from it but now i will try my best to keep his coat longer and healthier!!! Any help will be deeeeeply appreciated!! Also, for the first day he was acting all sad...is that normal? Today he is better....hopefully he is not biting if off I will try to post a picture with his new "do" soon... |

| I have never used these products but I am going to invest in some! My darker dogs have alot of gloss to their coat, but I have a couple very light yorkies, the very silvery coloring and their coats are not as glossy as I would like. |

| Luk Tan: Cha-Cha is absolutely gorgeous! I loved looking at your website photos and see how she matured from a young pup to a gorgeous dog! It doesn't look like you've ever cut her down at all.

| Wrapping the coat is basically a way to keep it cleaner and prevent breakage. Most (or I guess maybe all) show dogs spend a lot of time in wraps. You wrap portions of the hair in paper and then roll the paper up a certain way ... a lot of work, but it's the best way to keep the coat in the best shape possible. |

Great photos! Very helpful! I use pure paws products to oil Penny's coat. The ladies who run purepaws are Yorkie/Maltese people and really know their products. They are always willing to give helpful product advice. I used to use vellus but got annoyed at the 'flackies" that accumulated. I hated going to a show and finding "dandruff" on my dog after two baths! The pure pure stuff does not do that and my dogs coat is in the best shape it's ever been in. Also have to tip my hat to Plush Puppy. They make some wonderful shampoos. | |

YT Addict | Carter's Mom ..... thank you for visiting Cha-Cha's website. Yeah, I never cut Cha-Cha's hair down. I just trim her hair and keep them at the floor length. Your yorkie is also very cute. I love your avatar pic. yorkipower....Cha-Cha has used vellus for almost three years and never have any dandruff. Umm...I think maybe Cha-Cha's skin is not sensitive to vellus. I agree with you if we find something wrong on our dog because of using grooming product, no matter how well-known it is, we should make changes |

| Thanks Luk Tan...Mojo doesn;t really like it, when i get home after work there is always 1 or 2 missing that he took off (usually the one on his tail). But like the sweetheart he is, he just stands there and let me do whatever i want with him His coat still short so i think it makes it easier to wrap... he doesn;t need wrapping right now (at least not to protect from contact with the floor) i just want him to get used to it by the time his coat is longer. he plays sick from time to time...but my breeder told me his mom does the same...genetic traits huh? |
